i think i deleted some file from the thing that makes it work.
it turns on then immediately turns back off.
It looks like there is NO support for this piece of junk.

My son just got this and it already doesn't work! It turns on and the screen is blue, but no information shows up, just blue light. Then it shuts off on it's own about 15 seconds later!

This is a piece of junk.

I would recommend checking the batteries make sure that they aren't dead. If the batteries aren't dead and you are still having trouble might just be a defective one. I personally love mine. I have a dell E310 with win xp and it works great. I just download the songs onto my computer. Then plug the usb wire into the computer and move the songs to the K drive is what mine comes up.. For a shortcut once you see the drive appear you can create a shortcut to the drive by dropping the drive to the desktop. So it is alot easier to move the songs onto the drive. I simply just drag the song over the shortcut I created and it goes directly on. Just make sure that when you are finished adding all the songs, you click the scissors (safely remove hardware icon) on the bottom right of the taskbar and click stop for that drive, or else the songs you put on won't save. Once it says you are free to remove the drive simply unplug usb. Then plug in your earpiece and hit play on mp3. You should hear the song.

I use limewire to get my songs, but whatever site you use should be fine.

For the 2 that are having problems with the player going on then shutting off or staying blue.

I experienced the problem when I turned the player on it
says goodbye. I realized I was deleting files and I deleted the voice
file. Stupid me. How to correct this is simple though. You simply have
to connect the player to computer and format the drive that the mp3
player is using. You will lose the songs that you have downloaded
previously. Good thing I saved the songs on my computer so it was easy
to put back on. Definately recommend saving songs onto computer incase
problem like this happens again. Once you format the drive, you can
safely remove the drive. Turn it on and it should stay on.

My little sister's Spi mp3 player won't turn on

If you are saying that you had it plugged into a computer, and the first time you used safely remove hardware, and the next time you did not.

Then the device was in the read state and is stuck, you can remove the battery, then put it back in, then turn off the computer, turn on the player
(if it is not working ) plug it into the computer with it turned on, and start the computer, after the computer has loaded windows, check to see if the devise is listed under my computer, if it is try the safely remove hardware and see if it works now.

M mp3 wont turn on!!! :(

You can try a reset by doing this: Slide the power button up for approximately 15 seconds, which is basically like a complete power down of your device. Once you do the reset, it should work like normaly, but the adjustments you made during the last operation of the player will be gone.

I cant turn it on =/

Go to https://www.p4c.philips.com/files/p/psa615_05/psa615_05_dfu_eng.pdf

to download manual.

You can also download the driver software from
https://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?slg=ENG&sct=PORTABLE_SPORT_AUDIO_SU&cat=MP3_PLAYERS_CA&grp=PORTABLE_ENTERTAINMENT_GR&session=20080429150746_91.107.126.21&ctn=PSA615/05&mid=Link_Software&hlt=Link_Software

The PSA615 has a rechargeable battery, which can only be charged from the supplied mains adaptor. It wonn't charge from the computer.

If you need a charger contact www.cheapestelectrical.co.uk

They should have some in stock.

Frozen rca th1010

Buzzing noise indicates hardware problem that cannot be repaired. Otherwise, Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
