Saeco Vienna Deluxe -- Coffee weak weak weak

Thank you in advance to anyone who might assist me with my recent problem -- had the coffee maker for about two years now and it has started to make my coffee like a weak tea, no matter what I set the grind on.

I notice that the stream starts brownish, but very quickly changes to almost clear... am wondering if perhaps the water/grounds are not being held properly in the brew unit.

One more thing I noticed is that the grounds do not seem to change size, no matter what I put the setting on?

When the coffee is weak, that is often because the water is not at adequate temperature.

Check if the coffee is in right quantity and pressed in the right way. If it is than it means that the water was not hot enough.

Check water temperature, if water is completely cold, the element mus be replaced, if water is hot, but not enough, then replace thermostate activating the pump.

Check also the grinder, idf it is obstructed, and not enough coffee is being loaded, then that can also be a reason for a weak coffee.

Change the grind in Saeco Vienna Deluxe coffee maker

Hello kgspco.
You will need to work the 'dial knob' untill it free's it-self.

The higher the number the Coarse(r) the grind.
If you want rich - dark - strong coffee, set number between 4 - 8.
(if you can free it up - keep trying

Saeco Vienna Deluxe odd burning smell

gears are probably broke. Happens when to much coffee and coffee ground too fine get compacted into the brew drive unit.

Shreds the plastic gears like butter.

Machine has to be sent out for service, gear replacement is long and impossible for anyone untrained. Trained techs it takes at least an hour if not more.

Grinder setting i

0 is the finest setting. If you read the manual, it advises to adjust your grinder ONLY when the grinder is actually working. Also, you should only adjust it gradually from one setting to the next (ei. from 2 to 3), and wait about 5 cups before adjusting the setting again.
