I'd say yes, especially if you replace it yourself to avoid a service call. Top needs to come off (screws at back, then push top back 2 inches and lift off), remove front, remove 4 screws holding front bulk head / front rollers, slip belt off tension pulley, remove drum, reverse to install.

The thermistor may be out of specs

Unfortunatley this will probably mean a new board. The lights power is fed thru the board and the chances of everyone of those little buggers blowing at the same time is very, very, small. Sorry, hope this can help.

Drying drum is not on its host. Lay down the dryer and then bolt it after aligning it.

THERE ARE TWO ROLLERS ON THE FRONT OF THE DRYER THAT KEEP THE DRUM IN PLACE, IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE ONE OF THE ROLLERS IS GOING BAD OR HAS A FLAT SPOT IF THE BANG SOUND IS CONSTANT AND STEADY THIS IS THE PROBLEM. EASY FIX YOU CAN ORDER THE ROLLERS ONLINE

Check for broken belt. Take top off to check.

no problem with motor or control board. fault is with the motor capacitor only. this is often attached to the motor or near it. the value of the capacitor will be printed on it (usually about 8uf) and you should be able to source from an electrical spares shop
