Did this occur straight after changing out the battery, or after sitting with the new battery installed?

Have you checked the new batteries voltage and voltage under load, eg. (Voltage when headlights are on) could be a flat new battery.

Or could be load on the battery after key is turned off, something draining the battery overnight like a boot or interior light, radio left on ect.

Unlikely a short, or you would be in a world of burnt wires from the battery cables.

One word:

Dealer.

Next time just disconnect the battery until you get it towed as this is a warranty item. I'll bet some wondered if this was a prank question like I did, right?

SOURCE: 2009 Hyundai Sonata-clicking noise at brake pedal, brakes applied

This is not a rich mans car so its normal. Your hearing the solinod that lets you take the car out of park after the brake is depressed so the car can't be put in gear unless the brake is on. If the noise bothers you the soliniod can be found and wrapped in insulation like a rich mans car them you can ride on feeling like a rich man too. ( the Beatles sang that a long time ago) and its still true today.

SOURCE: 2002 Hyundai Sonata "battery" light

The Alternator may not be charging at the proper level. If the car is running while you're trying to open the sunroof or turn on the defroster, then the battery light has nothing to do with those and they are separate problems. Have an ASE Certified mechanic check the charging system.

My 2012 hyundai sonata battery will drain dead after 2 days when I don't start it, what could be the problem? I have to jump start it and if I drive it everyday its fine.

it can be a number of problems one can be you have something is staying on it can be a light in the boot, you alarm is wired wrong or a radio is not off or it can be the battery no good. By jumping the car with a jumper leads can damage the battery, or you alternator is not charging good. First to check your alternator you will need a volt meter and place the negative from your meter to the negative of the batter and the positive to the positive and start your car. If the reading is 14.3 V to 14.8 V your alternator is good than the problem it can be any of the other things that I indicated

I have a problem with a 2008 Dodge Charger, my battery went bad and I had to jump it off to take it and get a new battery put in but now my new battery won't start my car not even when the new battery...

When you jump started the vehicle, it started as normal and you drove to a shop to have a new battery installed.?? Correct??

1. Who removed the old battery and installed the new one?

2. Did the car start normally immediately after the new battery was fitted? How frequently were you able to drive the car on the new battery before the problem you described appeared?

3. Has anything been done to the vehicle since the new battery was fitted.?

I can't start my 1995 hyundai elantra after forgetting to turn off the lights when going for class. I try to jump start it but the car won't start and all the lights keep on flashing and flick

After connecting battery, try using key in drivers door to lock, and /or unlock. Try passenger if that doesn't work, as well as valet key if it came with one.

2011 hyundai sonata won't start. battery seems fine. loud clicking/knocking when i turn the key. would it be the starter?

Unusual for the starter to fail on a one year old car.
You are having it towed to a dealer for warranty repairs, right ?

I have a 2003 hyundai sonata and i dont have the remote for the stock alarm. My alarm keeps going off and my car wont start. I bought a new battery and even tried the key in the door still no luck.....

The 2003 Sonata is equipped with a 'starter KILL' burglar alarm system with disables the starting system (using a N/C 'contacts' configuration instead of a N/O contacts configuration). N/C=Normally closed, and N/O=Normally open contacts. When the alarm goes off with a MY Sonata, the only way to DISARM it is with the key fob (remote) originally programmed for it (unless you purchase a new remote & have it programmed for the vehicle at an authorized Hyundai Service Department). NOTE: So long as the keyless entry & burglar alarm system is functioning/operating normally, the alarm will keep going off and the STARTER KILL function will still prevent you from starting the vehicle. One option is left without purchasing a new remote and having it programmed.
1. When the alarm goes off, get into the vehicle and insert the ignition key into the ignition.
2. Turn the key to the 'RUN' position (NOT the ACC position) and wait for the alarm to STOP (usually about 3 to 5 minutes).
3. The engine should then start using the ignition key.

If this procedure doesn't work, the problem will need further diagnosis by a qualified/certified Hyundai Service Technician.

Hope this helps

Lights come on. I hear one crank but car won't start

Will the wipers work with the key in the run position? If not, it's the battery. Try a jump start. If the battery's ok you need to measure volts and amps at the starter to check for clean connections and internal failures.
