SOURCE: Left side of page cut off printing from Outlook 2003

Hi there,
Have you try to Copy paste the content of Outlook to Word and then try to print.

As Outlook have lesser option to set for printing. And may not possess all the features to print it correctly.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

SOURCE: Canon i560 won't print black text anymore

I had the same problem, even when I only selected grayscale printing, my printer would use all 3 colors to make black, and my black cartridge would never get used. Try this:
On printing preferences change your Media Type to Transparency.
This should solve the problem and stop robbing your color tanks when you just want black

SOURCE: test page prints fine, but nothing else does

You need a new printhead, QY6-0049-000 around $40.00. Your printhead has worn out or plugged nozzles and cleaning won't help.

My printer -X1185 prints the page with a 3 inch blank area on the left side and some of the right side printing is off the page. This is typical in my e mail page, and even if I center the letter on...

Web site designers create Web pages for display on a monitor, not for users to print on 8.5- x 11-inch pieces of paper. This becomes obvious the first time you try to print a Web page. Content you need may get chopped off by the right printer margin, whereas content you don’t need, such as the site’s copyright information, will print on its own sheet of paper. Fortunately, you can avoid such problems with a little foresight.

Before printing any Web page, open Internet Explorer’s File menu and select Print Preview. The current Web page will appear on-screen exactly as it will print on paper. Scan the preview carefully. If it appears that some content is chopped off by the right margin, click the Page Setup button located directly to the right of the Print button in the upper-left corner of the Print Preview window. In the resulting Page Setup dialog box, adjust the left and right margins so that each is set to 0.25 inches. The extra inch of space you gain by resetting the margins should provide just enough room to accommodate all of the content on most sites. Click OK to save the changes and return to the Print Preview window.

Next, scan the preview to determine which pages contain the content you want to print. Take note of those pages and click the Print button in the upper-left corner of the Print Preview window. Locate the Print Range heading and select the Pages option. Type the number of the first page you want to print in the From field and type the number of the last page you want to print in the To field. For instance, if you want to print just the first three pages of a Web page’s content, type 1 in the From field and type 3 in the To field. If your browser doesn’t have To and From fields, type the range of pages (such as 1-3) in the corresponding field. Make sure your printer has paper and click Print.

My hp deskjet 6940 inkjet printer doesn't show me level of ink in cartridge

Print a diagnostic page If the steps above have not helped, print and evaluate a diagnostic page to see if the cartridges or the printer is causing the problem.
  1. Make sure the printer is on and loaded with unused, plain, white paper.
  2. Press and hold the Power button and then press the Cancel button. Release both buttons. The diagnostic page prints. Figure 1: Power and Cancel buttonsc00584735.gif 1 - Cancel button 2 - Power button
Step 4: Note which cartridges printed which areas of the diagnostic page You must identify which cartridge printed which part of the diagnostic page, so that if you find defects on the page, you will know which cartridge is the problem. However, you can install different combinations of print cartridges in your printer, and different cartridge combinations print different diagnostic page patterns. Your diagnostic page may not look exactly like the picture below, but the right and left cartridges will print in the same areas of the page no matter which cartridges are installed. Figure 2: Diagnostic page layout (the patterns in each area may look slightly different on your page)c00584715.gif 1 - Printed by the right cartridge 2 - Printed by the left cartridge NOTE: If you are printing in reserve mode (one cartridge is missing), the missing cartridge's area of the diagnostic page will be blank. Step 5: Check ink levels NOTE: If you have installed a refilled or remanufactured ink cartridge, or a cartridge that has been used in another product, the ink level indicator is inaccurate or unavailable. Look in the middle of the diagnostic page. The bars with "E" (for "empty") and "F" (for "full") at each end show the ink levels in the cartridges. As ink is used, the solid color changes to a faded color. My zebra only prints the left half? I have tried calibrating, it does nothing. Can you help me out? Thanks

One of two situations exists:
1. If the printing stops with clear stopping edge, then the PRINT WIDTH setting has been changed from the default full width setting of 104mm.
Best way to check this is to take your tallest and widest label and print out a configuration label. This is done by turning off the priner, pressing the CANCEL key and holding while turning on the printer. Release the button when the calibrate led turns off. A config label will print and you can check the setting for PRINT WIDTH.

2. If the printing stops by fading away to the right side, then that is caused by a pressure imbalance across the printhead. There is more pressure on the left side than the right side. There are two toggles the press down on the printhead and the pressure can be adjusted on each by turning the knob on top. Readjust the right side until printing returns across the label.

Hope that helps !

Valid page names message driving me nuts

when printing specific pages the valid range is in this format 1,3,5,7,9,11 etc or if printing even numbers 2,4,6,8 etc or if printing specific pages 1,5,17,21,23,24,32 etc
what makes it a valid range is the comma between the numbers, no spacing and no full stop at the end
to further add confusion
when printing all of the pages just click all pages and it will print one sided all of the pages so no numbering is required
however if you want to save paper and reduce the size of the document
click pages 1,3,5,7,9,11,13 through to ,57
print those pages then turn them all around and upside down reinsert in the printer
now select pages 2,4,6,8 through to ,58 and print
that will give you printed data on each side of the paper in the correct page number order
to get to know how to reinsert the paper test with a print page 1 then reinsert and print page 2 to make sure that you have turned the paper the right way round

CANON ip 4300 - 5100 error & prints skew onto DVD

I had this eror. It was caused by indexing error left to right.Would print some then cancel after starting to make clunking and left to right error gets to large.(white edge up the side of full page print).
There is a toothed print head carriage drive belt and a clear indexing strip above the heavily white greased bar behind print head carriage.
If this clear indexing strip gets grease or anything else on it the print head cannot index.
With print head at full right position, power off, I carefully wiped the clear strip by pinching between clean dry fingers and wiping up and down the strip a few times, maybe use cotton wool buds and IPA or methalated spirit if you can't get your fingers in there without breaking the strip. then with power on print head in change cartridge position, push carriage to far left and wipe right side of clear strip.I pushed carriage full left to right a few times,Then ran print head alignment.Fixed without taking apart.

Printing position of a picture

heyo Chuckie,

Really depends on your printer. I am assuming you are using Word. When looking at your documents, go to FILE, PRINT, click on PROPERTIES and then LAYOUT tab. THere is BORDERLESS printing. If you have a laser printer it may not have a problem with this, if you have an inkjet, there are paper rollers in the print that need to hold the paper while printing. As a last resort, I would make a PDF of the doc and swing over to Kinkos or a printing shop and print it off there.

Good Luck.
