Blinking blue light

So you do have a picture? Albeit dark blue? Then its the source and/or video connection that is probably the problem

Is it just one light blinking red or all 3 blinking red? Be sure to 'reset' the bulb hours. Try another bulb. If it is all 3 lights blinking red then you are sol.

Bad Caps on the AC IN board? I would visually inspect the caps on the AC IN board for any sign of swelling or doming on top. They should be perfectly flat.

your picture tube may be blown?

I have the same issue, we've had to change our bulb three times in less than two years. now we have 61" expensive paper weight. Our current bulb is less than 6 months old. The TV is only 2 years old and like i said this is our third bulb.

the blue light blinks 4 times. you get sound. then a few minutes the the picture returns... then it goes out, and the cycle goes on.

A solution to this would be greatly appreciated.

Ur video ic inverter board is dead.
U need a new one.

A blinking blue light indiactes that your power-inverter board is not putting out what it should. It needs an overhaul which may be a simple as changing out the capacitors on the boards.
It could go beyong that to transistors or even a bad bulb.
It will have to be opened up to do that.
A picture may show visual signs of damage. If you can take one and email it to me , I'll take a look.

you probobaly. need a new bulb, my dad had the same problem. he orderd a new bulb off the internet and now it works just fine
