I tried some random codes from the internet to unlock my samsung gt-s5620 locked to t-mobile. At the third attempt, with a vodafone sim in it, it got freezed and my phone is stuck on a keypad screen.

The phone Freeze problem. Your phone has gotten hard-locked; it will not accept any unlock codes. This problem can only be caused by improper unlocking. Basically this happens if you or someone else has already entered 5 wrong unlock codes on your phone.
You can get the unfreeze code, NCK code and SPCK code from third party. After unfreeze your phone, you have to enter the NCK code to unlock and use it with any gsm network in the world. i will suggest the website Unlock-Zone.com which is doing good service .....you can approach this website...For sim unavailable you can get unlock code.

After you've listened to the voicemail and have the "To delete press 7" instructions, pull the phone away from your face to initialize the screen(There is a light sensor that shuts off the screen when covered, so you don't push buttons with your face while you're on the phone) and there will be a "keypad'' option on the screen.
