I have a ts400 saw with no/very weak spark. If I motor the engine with a drill then it sparks but I think that it is too weak to jump the plug (new) gap under compression. It seems to me either the ignition module or flywheel magnetism. Does the flywheel de-magnetise itself over time or is it likely to be as simple as replacing the ignition module. I have checked the HT cable connections and continuity end to end

Stihl guards their service manuals making them only available to dealers who service Stihl.the kill switch is not making contact. a t25 torx should get you to the point where you can determine if my theory is correct.
SOURCE: need to know belt size fo the stihl ts400 concrete
You should go to a Stihl dealer and ask for the belt for a TS 400 Cut Off Saw. The belt is ribbed, you should only put on a Stihl part to replace the belt and make sure the belt is under the correct tension. When you go to the Stihl dealer you can ask them to show you how to make sure the belt is under the correct amount of tension.
