Before, I had some colored bars running vertically on the right side of the screen. I replaced the tcon board, and now the lines are gone, but the screen is still blank. I use to be able to get audio before I replaced the tcon board, but now I can't seem to get audio from any source. Please help with any advice or suggestions, thanks.
Tad G chances are you installed the wrong Tconn as that model used two T con boards both look identical but they are not interchangeable the two types were part numbers 185724011 and 185713211 I can assist with determining which version you have
The other number that will cross to your Tcon is the LJ94-02254F thats the correct Tconn. or sony part 185713211
the number 185713211 wont be on the board itself but thats the sony part number for the correct version Tconn. Also often just cleaning the ribbon contacts for the TCON connectors with a pencil eraser will solve any ghost images

we have the same exact tv and it is not even a year old. we are told that it is the display panel and it is a well known problem with this tv. we were also told that there is a shortage of these parts. they had 283 on order, but only received 35. you need to call sony and tell them that you have this problem. they should warranty this for you even if your tv is 3 months past the warranty period. since this is a well known problem with this tv, keep on them.
Testimonial: "It in fact was a part of the lcd panel...the t-con board. I was able to research it and bought a box of parts off of a tv like mine and fixed it. Ron"

In most cases is the screen is covered with vertical lines all the way accross the screen then the T-Con module is at fault. The t-con board is replaceable without having to replace the entire LCD panel which would usually make it cheaper than replacing the TV. The part number I come up with is 1-857-213-11. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks...
SOURCE: WHERE CAN I BUY A SONY T-CON BOARD PART NUMBER
The part # you gave is the Control Board which sells for $668.79. The T-Con board your looking for is part of the LCD Display Panel and is not sold separately. I suggest you start by cleaning the ribbon cables from the control board to the t-con board. If that doesn't help then you had better take it in to a service center to verify which part is bad because there are no refunds, only replacement after you buy a board.

Hi Sonny Berry, thanks for the reply. Yes, my tcon board said "404652ASNC6LV3.7" but al i could find to replace it was a "404652ASNC6LV4.5". So i did install a different version of the board. I will try to find the V3.7 and see if that helps.
But looking at the board, where would i find the number designations you mentioned?
I REALLY appreciate your good info Sonny!
Here's what I've done so far:
1) replaced tcon with incorrect V4.5 board; eliminated colored bars, still no image
2) replaced main/BU board: got image back, yay =) But faint colored bar returned. This time, different color and slimmer, but same location as original.
3) replaced ORIGINAL V3.7 board: TV would not turn on, red standby light blinks 14 times
4) replaced tcon board with DIFFERENT V3.7 board: same 14 red blinks.
So with the V4.5 and the new BU board, i get a normal working TV, except for a 2" faint pink vertical bar on the right side of the screen.
I guess this is still "need proper tcon board" issue, and would like to know how to figure out which part number or Sony number board i need to find. I can't seem to find the number you posted anywhere on the boards i have though.
How do i find what number i need??
I didn't try to clean the ribbon connectors, but I did swap them around to see if they were a problem. No difference.
So is the 185713211 different than a V3.7 board, or different names for the same thing?
