I was listening to music using media player and there was no problem.
After sometime i closed my system for about half an hour then when i opened it media player was not playing mp3 format rest all was playing fluently.
Although real player is playing the mp3 files normally.
I am using windows vista ultimate 64bit version.
Hi Faraz,
Are you aware if there was a windows software update before you restarted the system? What i suggest is to restore the settings back to the working time.
You may run the system restore. Just follow the instructions below.
1. click on start then go to All programs, click on accessories then click on system tool and system restore.
2. a pop up window will show up. just look for a specific date to click on to restore the settings back to the working date and time.
note: your files are still intact.
keep me posted!

JEff
Hih Faraz,
If that's the case you may need to download codec. You may try to download the codec below.

Hi,
With regard to your inquiry, you cannot remove windows media player from the system because it is an embedded application that came with Windows Vista. If this is the case then we might need to try updating your media player.

Restart your system after installing the update.
