Question about Oregon Scientific Wireless IndoorOutdoor Thermometer with Atomic Clock Sync

I have model RMR682--Want to disable the Alarm--Please advise

Alarm starts at 37.4 when going down and at 28.4 when increasing. I like the Thermometer and Clock, but would like to shut-off the alarm. It goes off repeatedly both up and down and is annoying.

The ice warning is only for channel 1. Set the sensor to a different channel (2 or 3).

The ice warning is normally only on channel 1. Just set wireless sensor to channel 2 or 3, then select that same channel to display on the base unit.
If you don't ever want to use the ice warning feature, then use channel 1 for a sensor that's situated indoors, then hope you never hear it!!!

I cast on 38 stitches. Directions read k 5, (KFB, knit 1) repeat to last 5 sts, knit 5. Directions say 50 sts., I end up with 53. What is wrong? Can you help?

Starting with 38 stitches, you should end up with 52:
5 + 2(14) + 5 = 38 after increasing on every other of the center 28,
5 + 3(14) + 5 = 52
However, if you start with 37 stitches, you should end up with 50:
5 + 2(13) + 1 + 5 = 37. after increasing on every other of the center 26,
5 + 3(13) + 1 + 5 = 50

How do I disable or remove door alarm?

The alarm is operated by a magnetic switch connected to the control board. If you can find it you can bridge it out if it's a make switch, or disconnect it from the board if it's a break switch. Find the control board and the connection first. ***WARNING*** the switch also operates the internal fans and removal of the feature will increase your power bill and make the fans run permanently. Does the alarm come on as soon as the door is opened?

This sounds like your motherboard, computer or control board(they call it different things in different models) is bad. It is responsible for the fan speed and timing of the defrost cycle. To locate your timer, motherboard, control or adaptive defrost control , enter your model number and search for the part or post back on Fixya.
