SOURCE: removing links to shorten watch

I just removed links from one of the white stag watches today. The answer is in the link below.

http://www.watchmaterial.com/How_to_size_a_watch_band.asp

Friction pins are used to hold the links together. I used a jeweler's screwdriver and a small hammer to tap them out in the direction of the arrow. I put them back in the same way.

How do I change the battery on fossil motorcycle clock?

You will need a very small (watch or glasses) Philips head screwdriver, and a SR626SW (or know as a 377) watch battery.
Remove screw 1 to remove the motorcycle back cover.
Remove the other 2 screws to take off the clock backing.
Remove the white plastic ring by pulling directly up.
Remove the battery.
Put the new battery in.
Press the white plastic ring back on.
Reassemble the clock backing with the two screws.
Reassemble the back of the motorcycle with screw 1.

How do I change the battery/ies for the watch? The red light still functions, but the timepiece does not.

I took a clip watch to the Mall today and had the battery replaced at the Dakota Kiosk. It cost $10. They used a tiny knife to pry off the back. I was trying to use a screwdriver and that didn't work.

Hello i changed the battery on my dakota angler II and the only thing that works is the red light, no time analog and or digita, none of the buttons do anything except the red one for the light.

Did you change the battery yourself? Did you have instructions? The reason I ask is only because some watches/etc have more the one battery for various functions. Sometimes there are more batteries underneatch the battery you replaced.
I would call the manufacturer and ask them if you have the number.

Have replaced the battery. Now it won't read the heart monitor. Two other people have experienced the same thing. Any reason?

The case back has to go on the right way 'round. There is a white bit on the inside of the case back with a hole in it, this hole has to line up with a spring which is poking upwards out of the watch mechanism, i think the white thing is the aerial to the chest strap.

Removing the back to change battery

The plastic wrist band doesn't have to be cut away. You need to dislodge the spring-loaded end of the pin from the hole in the plastic with the blade of a sharp thin knife.

The you proceed to lift one of the 4 snaps to open the cover. The battery is under a white translucent inside cover.

The original battery was Sony SR621SW.

Pay attention to the rubber seal ring when putting the watch back together.
