#0018 indicates there was a problem with dialing, but it should show for sending faxes only. Since you can neither send nor receive faxes, and are getting a message saying "no signal", make sure that the phone line is still securely connected to both the L (line) jack on the machine and the phone jack in the wall. If it is, plug another phone into the accessory jack on the machine, and check to see if you are getting a dial tone. It seems like the machine is not able to communicate through the phone line.

'replace cartridge' keeps coming on even though I replaced brand new one. Why ?

There is two cartridges the machine is using-Toner cartridge and Drum cartridge, make sure you have replaced the correct one.

One of my agents unplugged the fax machine (Canon D880) and now it wont work at all. I printed a report of the settings and it looks fine but nothing works

Make sure the phone line is plugged into the correct input "Line" not "Phone" . Does the fax have an "On Hook" button that allows you to hear the dial tone? Have you tried a regular phone on the line to verify that there is a dial tone?

Is there a Mac OSX driver for the Canon ImageCLASS D880?

It's not the same as that at all, and different printers were designed to use the same cartridges, it's not a coincidence.
If it is actually the D880 you're inquiring about, then it's not compatible, because it doesn't "speak" MAC. Therefore, there is obviously no other driver that will work.

Fax one document to hundreds of recipients ???

The only fax machine that is capable of holding 1,000 addresses would be the Panafax UF-8000 with 512mb optional memory.

Error message on printer E000

E000 is a fixing unit problem. It could just be needing to be reset or replacement of the fixing unit or if that is not the fix it may coast more then it is worth.

Will not receive faxes

This is a safety feature. If it tried to print the fax, but there was no toner, not only would you not be able to read the fax, but it would be gone forever (it gets erased from memory once it is printed).
