Kenmore gas dryer model #11072832100 serial #ML1502544.
is around 7 years old, everthing working fine but after 5 to 10 minutes later there is no heat and drum keep working and air duct area is very clean, please someone can tell me what's the problem?
thank you....
Yup, shortly after I posted this question I was able to find that it was indeed the valve coils. Very easy to get to and replace. Cheap too! Got both of them for about $20 thru www.appliancepartspros.com. Same parts would have cost about $70 thru Sears direct.
Patrick, they are located on the burner unit under the drum in the front left. You can get a diagram of the burner unit by looking up Parts for your model # at Sears.com.
Only tricky thing is you may need to have someone help hold the tumbler in place when you put the belt back on the motor. Personally I found it easier to use two hands to manipulate the belt around the motor and tension bracket and have my wife hold the drum in place rather than to try and balance it myself.
Good luck!
Had the same problem. I replaced the valve solenoids - problem solved. The valve on my model was located front bottom left. Take off top cover, tilt front panel forward to remove.
My Kenmore 80 series (model 11072802100) has the same problem that it fires up first and then stop producing heat after a few minutes. It's also 7 years old. After a while, if I restart it, it will run and do the same thing. I found a thread of discussion on another forum that says that this can be the gas valve coil (solenoids) problem as these coils turn on and off the gas flow to the chamber. I'm going to check out the coils, but don't know where they are located (can't find the manual). If anyone has any idea, please share. Or I'll just tear off the top and back to see where they are.
Any gurus here to help? Thanks.

my Kenmore gas dryer seems to start fine but heat shuts off after 5min.
I have the same problem. I have found that the ignitor continues to work, however the gas stops igniting a couple of minutes into the cycle.
the dryer is turned on but the ignitor doesn't glow, I feel it's the ignitor is there somthig else I should look at?
