Question about Mitsubishi WS-65809 65" Rear Projection Television

Red streaks across my screen of my tv

Tried everything to +- to even them out but it didn't work. How do I remove the red streaks ? I have a 65 inch Mitsubishi Medallion HD1080. It just happened one day all of a sudden. Could it be the red lamp?

Red swoosh across screen. I used the remote to go into the menu to adjust the red convergence +- but it helps a little but red streaks are still there.

its kind of hard to tell but it looks like your convergence chip (the red one) is shorted. usually about $250-$400 if you take to a tv repair shop.

I have a Mitsubishi HD1080 46 inch TV. The projection shows a concave picture and there are red and green outlines like a 3D image but without the glasses. This problem has come and gone in the past now...

I have the same problem. At first I thought the TV just needed some warming up because after a while it would resolve itself. Now, even after hours of being "resolved" it will occassionally revert back to the concave image! Have you gotten any feedback or resolution?

Try to unplug set and try it again as if the set was unplugged and then the self check done it will be 1,2 which means NO ERROR detected.

Let me know also what the set does?

Mitsubishi Medallion Hd1080

Try to access the self diagnosis feature, by pushing the input/device and menu buttons in on the set itself and hold them both in together for 8 seconds to see if the led will blink a two digit code. If it doesnt that means the processor isnt powered so therefore its a standby voltage issue thos are usually easy to track down Try the proceedure to access the diagnosis feature then let me know the results.
