HP Support > Pavilion ze4610 Notebook PC > Main page,
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=384624&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us
This is for the ze4610US version. The layout inside is still the same for the ze4610EA version, also.
Click on the blue - Manuals in the header panel.
(If 'Your Input is Valuable to Us" comes up, I suggest close it)
Click on the blue Maintenance and Service Guide
This is a Service Manual. It is in PDF file form.
The computer you are using now has Adobe Reader on it, which uses PDF files.
After you click on the file name, (Maintenance and Service Guide), it may take up to 30 seconds, before the first page comes up.
Ignore the following if you are aware;
At the top of the PDF file is the page number box. It is to the right of the Down Arrow.
The page number in the PDF file page number box, does not correspond to the actual page number in the Service Manual.
If you know the number of the page you want, you can use the Down Arrow to arrive at it, or;
1) Put your mouse cursor in the page number box.
2) Left-click once
3) Type the page number you want
4) Press the Enter key
You can also use the Bookmarks Menu to the left.
Click on the + sign next to - Removal and Replacement
Scroll down, click on - Removing the Hard Disk Drive
Or go to Page 39
From me:
Always, always, always remove ALL power.
Remove the AC adapter (Charger) and Battery
Work on a table, or workbench. Do Not work on a couch, bed, or directly on a carpet floor.
These are High areas of Static electricity, and Static will fry out (Short Circuit) the delicate hardware components inside a computer.
Handle the harddrive by it's case, and refrain from touching the contact pins in the back.
What is it you are trying to do?
Replace a bad harddrive, or increase storage space with a larger harddrive?
Post back in a Comment.
