Ice maker making ice

I have a Kenmore 106.71192101 refrigerator and the icemaker stopped working. The ice maker is hooked up to a RO system. I know water is getting to the Valve Solenoid but the water is not going from the water solenoid to the water tube to the actual ice maker so I replaced the Valve Solenoid. That didn't work. There is still no water coming to the water tube. I have checked all the electrical connections. The shut off arm is sort of flimsy so could the problem be within the icemaker itself so that when that arm is down it not calling for water? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. I have included the link to the icemaker diagram. Thank you.

The water supply tube in the freezer is not frozen. What else should I do to see what the problem is? Thanks for your help.

Do you mean to switch the tube connections going to the Solenoid from the RO system and from the Solenoid to the ice maker? What will that do? Won't that push the water back to the RO system?

I have a Kenmore Model 106-55602400 Coldspot and the icemaker stopped working. What do I do?

The control module has failed on the ice maker. You can replace the control module alone, but I would replace the ice maker completely.
Here is a link for the control module.
Here is a link for the new ice maker.

My Kenmore refrigerator (596.52673200) is making a noise every 3 minutes or so for about 15 seconds. It seems like it is trying to fill the ice maker. There was ice in the little rubber tube leading to the...

Put the icemaker arm in the lock position to turn it off.
If it is the icemaker making the noise, the noise should stop.
If the noise stops, replace the icemaker.
If it does not stop, let us know.

My icemaker stop working but the water dispenser still working I check both water lines from the filter its ok but can't check the freezer line by icemaker. turly don't know why the water will not flow...

If there is no ice in the ice mold of the ice maker, you can pour enough water in to make cubes, wait an hour or so for the icemaker to cycle.( freeze and dump the ice). If it does, then your water valve on the back of the refrigerator that the main water line hooks up to is bad. Replace it. The valve has two sides to it. An ice maker side and a water resevoir side. One side can be bad allowing the other to work.

If the ice maker does not cycle and dump the cubes then you probably have an ice maker problem.

Ice maker not hooked up (on purpose). The ice

Sounds like you are not going to use the automatic icemaker, so I would remove the whole icemaker unit which will include disconnecting the wire harness behind the icemaker which will shut off power to the icemaker and will also give you more storage room in your freezer compartment. This will not harm the refrigerator or the icemaker, you could also disconnect the waterline if you want. Please note that this solution applies to the top freezer, and bottom freezer style refrigerators only thatt DO NOT have dispensers through the door. Good luck !

Ice maker issues - what to do next?

I have not found Kenmore to do the best with the icemakers; however, you want to make sure that the lever on the side was replaced properly. They have a slot that they need to go into. The other thing that is important is to see if the motor is running on the ice maker. It could be at fault, but if that is the case those units usually are better off replaced as a whole, which runs around $200. You will probably get them cheaper through an appliance dealor rather than going through Sears and there probably is one in your yellow page section of your phone book...hope this helps.

Error message

Hello gravyblast.
Welcome to Fixya.

You said, your Kenmore Elite Trio, model 795.7756 or 7757 has an error message simply reading ER IF. No pressing of buttons, or combination thereof changes anything. Also, the ice maker has stopped working although it is turned on.
Can anyone help?
I cannot pull the refrigerator out to unplug and reboot it, thus I don't know what to do.

Try tripping the breaker off for 5 minutes and then see if this method resets the system?
Do not turn it back on for at least tree minutes. That's why I said, Five!!!

Lets see how it resets while I look your fridge up.
Write back. Huuum
