When the computer first boots up, it will go through the POST. Which is power-on-self-test. Right after this press F1 to get into the BIOS. BIOS is Basic-Input-Output-System. Inside the BIOS you can configure your boot options. You can move the priority of the CD ROM or USB to the top, above the hard drive. (I'm guessing the Operating System is inoperable.) You can now save and exit. insert a windows disc, to repair or format the hard drive and reinstall the operating system. I recommend though trying Ubuntu. visit ubuntu.com for install instructions.

How do i reset my emachine t5048 to factory setting without the windows boot disc?

Some computers will have a recovery partition you can recover from it will prompt you as the computer is booting. Emachines are very low end computers and don't typically have a recovery partition. If you didn't create the recovery disc you will need to order it from Gateway's website as they own emachine. You can order recovery media from https://secure.tx.acer.com/RCDB/Main.aspx?brand=emachines

How to recover audio from an eMachines T6534

To recover audio files lost from digital recorders, you can try this program called Digital Photo Recovery (also recover AUDIO and video files). If you are running Mac OS X, turn to Photo Recovery for Mac (also recover videos and audio files on OS X).

Im trying 2 get my acer T1400 laptop 2 go on the internet do u have a manual 4 my laptop

Normally you do not need the manual to go to the internet, just insert the cable(internet) to your laptop and then it should have the connection.
If not try to call your internet provider, some times you need to insert a code provided from them

acers homepage is here if you want to find the manual :

I would like to make a recover cd for my emachine 770.

Hi M_Borland,

You could consider making Ghost CD's but that wont get you back to a factory setting, So if your computer is having issues Ghosting the system wouldn't be the best option. If you are interested in Ghost check out Norton's website. You could contact emachine and see about getting replacement CD's. Hope this answers your question.

Thanks,
Armymason
