I was turning on my TOSHIBA Tecra but it's not working. As I turn it on, the fan starts to spin really fast and the power LED starts to flashes 3 times, 2 yellow flashes and 1 green flash. It keeps on going like that forever.
I have tried:
- starts with the battery.
- starts without the battery but with connected power cable.
but it still won't work. please help me figure out what has happened to my laptop and how can i fix it, please! All of my works are in the laptop and i have no back up files!!

Flashing three times means something physically wrong with ur laptop. could be fault with ur power supply, Hard drive or ram.
- with the battery, plug in ur power supply and check if ur LED is glowing and the laptop is charging well.
if the problem persists,
- reset the RAM and the Hard drive, [ for this take out the ram and Hard drive and put them back again].
if still the problem persists, take it to repair.

u dont have to worry bout the backup in ur laptop. a simple solution would be to get a 2.5 inch hard drive enclosure, install ur harddrive into that, connect it to a different computer and back it up!, but be sure what type of Harddrive u have , is it a IDE harddrive or a SATA harddrive.

my lap top seems to turn on - lights, etc, but nothing on the screen- even with an external monitor - nothing. What do ya think?
