Thanks, Bhujbal Swapnil! So, you're saying, get Power DVD for pc, & can view 3D, k. I have a standard DVD burner/player built into my pc, & 3D is Blu-ray format. How do you run a Blu-ray player thru pc to convert signal? I have HDMI out from pc to my DLP, but dk how to run player through pc. Would gladly purchase DVD 11, if I could figure out how to play Blu-ray player through my pc. Any hints?

I got Power DVD 11 as suggested, but as I suspected, w/only a standard dvd player in my laptop, it couldn't read Blu-ray 3D or any other Blu-ray discs. I was told that this software could enable 3D viewing even thru an older crt type tv, but I have no idea how to apply it to view the discs w/out being able to run the external Panasonic 3D Blu-ray player through my laptop to perhaps utilize the software I downloaded onto it (which I can't figure), or scrap the idea altogether. Is there no way to use a perfectly good 3D Blu-ray player to view a 3D disc in 3D through my WD-Y65? I was told my question needed more detail. I hope this will suffice. Thanks.

Ur tv does nt support 3D. U can still see 3D if connected to PC. With power DVD 11 u can able to watch anaglyph 3D.
Dnt get confused any standard screen (e.g. CRT (big boxes with curved screen)) can view anglyphic 3D content.

SOURCE: my mitsubishi wd-y65 has sound but screen is black

You are SURE the lamp is good....well...if you say so. However, it sounds like you have made audio connection but no video connection (or lost it or is incorrectly set). Try other input modes. See if you an bring up "setup". If so...you screen/lamp is working.

SOURCE: hdmi 2 wont work on mitsubishi wd-y65

It sounds similiar to a problem we've had with ours, all components would work in hdmi 1, but hdmi 2 would only work intermitently. They ended up replacing the digital board (fortunately we have the extended warrenty, I'm sure it's not cheap). Sorry hope this helps.

Wd-y65 no picture. Sound for a few seconds then shuts off

Lamp is usually customer replaceable and instructions are in owner manual.

I would to begin with (set unplugged) get at the lamp to inspect it--if shattered inside look for a replacement.

Google the model number with "lamp" to see what is available.

You Tube has video instructions for replacing lamps on most brands and models as well---not have to read just look.

How do I view movies in 3D on the Mitsubishi WD-Y65?

WD-Y65 is NOT a 3D ready TV. You either have to change the TV to see the movie in 3D, or just watch it in 2D in you current TV.

I have the same TV as yours. Current I connect a desktop PC to the TV via DVI port, and I watch Avatar using colorcode 3D(Amber/Blue) with Stereoscopic Player from www.3dtv.at It might be a way for you to enjoy 3D without change the whole thing, but it's an entire different topic.

Please check if the air flow is blocked." According to the Mitsubishi website, this issue is caused by a loose connection as a result of a faulty thermal sensor. For models: WD-73727, WD-73827, WD-73927, WD-73732, WD-7383, the most encountered repair problem has been in relation to the optical engine. Another common situation consumers have encountered is failure of the TV to turn on along with unceasing flashing of the green power light. The solution for this problem, caused by the DM board, will vary by repairman. Consumers have also encountered issues with moving vertical or horizontal lines appearing on the screen which can either be due to problems with the capacitor, light engine, or formatter board. Make sure all bad caps are changed.
