I have this problem Delete all print jobs and turn the printer off. Remove any foreign objects from inside the printer. After a few minutes, turn the printer back on.

  • Anonymous Mar 16, 2009

R200 printed perfectly before changing yellow cartridge. Now red lights blink alternately and the green light is out. And I know there is no obstruction and the print head can move freely.

    What causes the blinking????

Look for a tool called sscserv. but you still have to clean wastepad, so it's a good idea to have external tank.

How to clean the printer head of an Epson Stylus 4000 by flushing amonia/alcohol solution through?

Cleaning the print head of an Epson Stylus 4000 printer can help to improve print quality and resolve issues such as missing or clogged nozzles. One method of cleaning the print head is to flush an ammonia/alcohol solution through it. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do this:
  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Prepare a cleaning solution by mixing equal parts of ammonia and water or isopropyl alcohol with water. It's important to avoid using high-concentration cleaning solutions as they may damage the printer's internal components.
  3. Take a syringe or bulb syringe (usually can be purchased at a pharmacy) and fill it with the cleaning solution.
  4. Remove any ink cartridges from the printer.
  5. Locate the print head assembly. It is usually located behind the ink cartridges.
  6. Gently insert the syringe or bulb syringe into the print head assembly and slowly squeeze the cleaning solution through it.
  7. Use the syringe or bulb syringe to gently flush the cleaning solution through the nozzles until the solution comes out clean.
  8. Allow the print head to dry for a few minutes before reinserting the ink cartridges and turning the printer back on.
  9. Perform a test print to check if the cleaning improved the print quality.
Note that you may need to repeat this process several times to completely clear the clogged nozzles. Also, before performing any of the steps listed above, it is advisable to consult your printer user manual or contact Epson support for specific instructions regarding your printer model, as the location of the print head and the exact process may vary depending on the printer model.

Anyone know how to clear a clogged print head in an Epson PP-100 Discproducer disc printer? I’ve tried using the utility software but it’s still clogged. Can I syringe cleaning fluid into the tube? Can...

The very last resort is to syringe fluid into the print heads, often that will damage the heads and require head replacement. Head replacement likely will cost more than your printer. Repeated utility cleaning, "under head" cleaning with alcohol/ammonia can help.

My printerhead is clogged

You will have to be careful and precise.
Using a needle or other suction product.
Extract some ammonia int it.
Let the printer move the head to center.
Unplug unit.
Take syringe and place a few drops into where the cartridge hole would have lined up
Be carefull not to OVERFILL head.
Install cartridges and let printer sit for an hour or so.
.
Power back on and let the machine do a self clean.Should be good to go.

Hi Mr. walter

This is a problem of clogging of head. You need to un-clog the head hence you need to have with you the following

1. A syringe any capacity
2. Hot water

DO NOT USE ANY OTHER GLASS CLEANING LIQUIDS

1. First take the carriage cradle out of the capping station.
2. Take the hot water in the Syringe and slowly pump a little qty. of water in the Magenta inlet nozzle
3. Then pull the syringe back so it will get the water from inside out in the syringe.
4. Inspect if any small derbies of clogged ink is being sucked by the syringe.
5. Now again pump a little hot water into the ink inlet nozzle
6. Repeat Step 2 again for 3 more times

DO NOT PUMP THE HOT WATER WITH A GREAT FORCE THIS WILL DAMAGE THE HEAD.

The printer turn on ok , then whene i print any thing the printer work ok but its not printing on the paper .

It seems like its a jammed print head for this try cleaning your print head using the cleaning utility thats present in your printer software, (NOTE: Head cleaning will consume a lot of ink) Or you can just clean your head with isopropryl alcohol.
Requirements:- 1. Isopropryl alcohol 2. Syringe 10 or 20ml 3. Tube(I used medical tube) that fits in the tip of the syringe and the nozzle
Steps: 1. First remove the needle from the syringe and fit the tube into the tip till its firm. 2. Pull 10 ml of isopropryl alcohol inside the syringe (note: no vacuum or air should remain inside the syringe) 3. Fit the tip of the tube on the nozzle of the print head and slowly squirt about 5ml of isopropryl into the nozzle and pull back till all the isopropryl comes back while pulling back clogged inks will come inside the syringe repeat this till the nozzle is clear. repeat this to all the nozzles. don't forget to throw away all the dirts (clogged inks that will come inside the syringe) and do it slowly, though it will take much time but it will be helpful. I was able to clear my jammed print head with this procedure hope this will help you.

I have 2 Epson R230. One has a bad printhead, in that the test print is messy and the black print head is badly clogged. I want to swap the printheads, so that I will at least have one working printer. The...

Befory you toss the printer, try this!
Take a syringe, 1" piece of rubber tubbing that will fit over the head input snugly, (auto parts house stocks some that works fine). Fill the syringe with a good head cleaner, slightly warm it in the microwave (try 5 seconds to start). Attach to nozzle, gently pull back just a bit, then apply a little pressure. If it accepts the fluid, STOP, You can clean the syringe, add the proper color ink, inject just a small amount. reinstall a known good cartridge, clean heads couple times checking results, if ANY streaks or color appears, clean again! Sometimes letting it sit overnight allows the head to fill with ink. I have had very good luck with this method, also some will not clean properly, just depends on how bad it is clogged.
Good luck..
