Hi does anyone know how to configure the drive array on a compaq ml350?

This model comes with Smart Array 5302/32 Array Controller (Standard with Array Models only) when posting, the server will display the controler mentioned before Smart Array 5302 and an option (press f8) once you have entered this section called ORCA you will have a menu to create, view or delete Raid.
Make sure you have the hdds properly connected before starting so that all hdd are recognized
Good Luck

SCSI Devices not detected when posting ML530 Server.....

Hello,

To get to the BIOS for your server, press F10 at start-up. This should get you there to verify if settings are detecting SCSI devices. If they are there, you may have to reinstall the SCSI controller drivers. Good Luck.

Problem with scsi driver proliant ml 370 for NT4

Are you attempting to boot from the Windows CD?

If you are booting the server from a Windows installation disk and it is unable to detect the hard drive, this typically means the following things.
You need to provide the driver for the RAID controller of the server (this can vary, depending on the version of the ML370 e.g. G4/G5)
If it still cannot detect the hard drive after providing the driver for the RAID controller or if there is not a driver available for NT4, it may not support the controller.
In this case you can remove the RAID set by entering the RAID setup (could be LSI or adaptec). NOTE THIS WILL DESTROY ALL DATA ON THE DISKS THAT ARE A PART OF THIS RAID SET.

What is it worth?

Honestly, it depends on the make (g1, g2, g3) and configuration (how many processors, amount of memory, how many disks, type of RAID card, redundant power and if it woks) I remember these machines were pretty bulletproof. Find out the config for each, then you can make a fair comparison using ebay.
