Finding error messages

When I attempted to print I get cartridge error message: 1203 that says consult user guide. How do I find locate 1203 in my Dell All-in-one center?

I replaced my black ink cartridge which didn't help.

    we put in new ink carts & it printed a few times but now the printer is locked up and wont do anything. It says cartridge error 1203 consult user guide.

    same problem, catride error 1203 also when I lift the lid to my printer unit, my cartridge carrier does not automatically move to the loading position. I just put in a new black cartridge today and it did print a few times correctly.

Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.

It sounds like the printer thinks it is not a genuine ink cartridge. Fit a Lexmark cartridge to cure it.

Lexmark P6250 Printer error 1203 - Consult User Guide

It is a hardware printing problem . Try to clean contacts in printers in cartridge holder by alcogol and elastic rubber. it may become dirty an poor contact. after this you can try this:
Put some layers of the sticky tape on cartridge to improove force of contact.

Error 1203

I would email Lexmark. Thus far they have been good about assisting with problems. I have found that the User's Guide does not have the info in for numbered error messages also. Mention this to Lexmark when emailing them! Hope this is of help to you.

Error Message 1203??

These steps are for a Lexmark 4200, but I suspect they will work for your printer as well:

Cartridge Error: 1203

Your print cartridge has a short.

1. Press Power to turn your All-In-One off.
2. Unplug your All-In-One from the wall outlet.
3. Plug in your All-In-One.
4. Reinstall the cartridges.

If this does not resolve the problem, see More troubleshooting options, or replace your cartridges.

Error 1203

You can try testing your Printer with another Print Cartridge and if the error message repeats, you should contact Service Center as then there would be a Hardware Problem.
