There are a number of things that can cause it to act as you described. Have you pulled the covers off of it yet to see if you can see any problems?

If you do, disconnect power from it and don't touch ANYTHING on the board when ANY of the 3 LEDs (2 are not visible from the outside) are lit.

Even if there is no visible damage, it could be that one of the transistors is blown, Use a multimeter to check the resistance of the transistors.

SOURCE: I recently purchased the mtx

If none of the lights are coming on for the amp then the amp is not getting power and/or ground. Check the connections. Check the fuses. Or the amp is no good.

My amp doesn't want to turn on, it's doesn't smell burnt, and the fuse is still good... What could it be?

It's the remote wire it is what activates the on off feature ..... You can test this option by running a small wire from your power on the amp ( the red wire) to the remote wire on the amp if it comes on then that wire needs ran or replaced .

Cant get power to my mtx rt251d amp

Test the power to both the remote and power wires, and make sure you have a secure ground. If those are good make sure the fuse is okay. If you still get nothing, the amp may be faulty and you should take it to your local audio professionals.

My mtx thunder 421d I just got has the red light staying on all the time, I have hooked up a rca converter and the amp wont play my sub, is that light supposed to be red all the time.

The LED should be red. If you are not getting power to the sub, make sure the speakers are connected properly to the amp. Also make sure that the gain control is turned up. If it is all the way down, you will not hear anything from the sub(s). If none of that works, it is possible that you have a blown sub. If you smell a burnt smell near the speaker magnet, there is damage to the voice coil in the sub.
