Kodak Easy Share C330 lens error 14 and lens error 22

Dear sir, I've been using my kodak C330 camera. But one time i placed it in my shoulder bag and the bag was dropped with my camera inside. I did'nt notice my camera not working anymore until 1 week when i started to open it. It says lens error 14 then changes to lens 22 and will shut off. Can it still be fixed/repaired? What shall i do? Please advice me sir, thank you. Nanette My camera was sitting on a ledge, and while i was taking a picture, the camera fell. It landed on its lens. The lens will not close as a result of it being crooked.

This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

I have a Kodak EasyShare C330. I have a new memory card Kodak SD Card 128MB. When I insert it in the camera, a message displays stating memory full. When I try to format the card to the camera I received...

This error message means that the card is corrupted or formatted for another digital camera. Turn off the camera. Insert a new card or format the card.
Try to format the memmory card using a card reader and the PC this should solve your problem if not you have to replace the memmory card.

I've been using my kodak C330 camera. my camera not working It says lens error 14 Can it still be fixed/repaired? What shall i do? Please advice me sir, thank you.

Your camera has a lens error, this is such a common fault that I hope you don't mind me pasting my stock generic answer below. No point in reinventing the wheel!

Stuck lenses are probably the most common reason that compact digital cameras get thrown away, but there's a fair chance of recovering use of your camera again

The fault is commonly caused by dirt or grit blocking the mechanism, or due to it having suffered a recent fall. Another common cause is that the camera was in a pocket or bag and the power button accidentally activated and tried to open the lens against resistance. The mechanism may have simply become dislodged or there may be parts which have broken.

If your camera is still under warranty and has definitely not been subject to misuse then contact the Kodak service department in your country to find out about a free repair. If the warranty has expired though a professional repair will far exceed the cost of replacing your camera. You will therefore have nothing to lose by trying to fix this yourself.

Please click here and you will be taken to an excellent article provided by the Camera Repair website. For the most part, you'll be guided on how to physically manipulate your camera to try and clear the fault. Although the article mentions Canon a few times, the advice applies equally to all cameras with lens errors and is not model-specific.

Which size has the memory card? More than 1GB?
The spec for the SD card format is going to 2GB but the Kodak C330 not compatible with 2 GB SD memory cards.

Click

But try an firmware upgrade. Maybe the supporting now the 2 GB memory cards.
Why download firmware version 1.07?
This firmware version improves memory card compatibility and provides general performance updates.

Kodak Easy Share C330 lens error 14 and lens error 22

Hello,

I bought two of these on clearance and gave one to my in-laws. She suspected that one of her kids may have dropped the camera or pushed in the lens. I don't remember which lens error number had shown up, but I dis-assembled the camera to find out what the deal was. If I remember correctly, there is a way to manually turn the gears to put he lens back out. I left the lens out and turned it on and it worked perfectly. Fair warning though. It is VERY IMPORTANT not to touch the contacts for the flash EVEN WITH THE BATTERIES OUT!!! God did it hurt like hell... unfortunately it is fairly easy to do and I must have accidentally done it about 4-5 times while messing with it..
