Canon IR2000 error 100

m/c on go additional key then printer then printer reset then yes then power cycle hope problem was solved

TAke out the cartridge and unplug it and plug it back in and put the cartridge back in and see if thats the problem for you.

A E100 is a Laser code... Look to make sure that the toner lever is in the correct potistion and that the front door is closed all the way and correctly.

Most likely, the tab on the rear side of drum unit has broken off. Thus causing the Lazer Shutter not to open. There are 3 or 4 other possibilities other than replacing the drum unit.

E100 is laser related error.

You can try to reconect the conectors on dc controler board, and on laser unit, clean the laser, check if the laser shuter is broken.
If notthing helps the next step would be to chnage the laser unit and/or dc pcb

Under service mode ( MENU and # ) find clear, select err, and OK. Turn off and on.

If after that you still have this message, you need to find the problem in fixing assy. Its probably bad thermistor or heating lamp.

Call service.

Did you reset the error after replacing the fixing?

ERROR E100 is results when DRUM UNIT is not sitted properly , please check it is engaged with toner ( developing assy).
