Loud clicking noise; radio reception on auxilary mode;
Took radio to the office and haven't used it in more than a year and when I turned it on, it made a loud clicking noise when I adjusted the volume; got no radio reception; I tried to play my cell phone through the "aux" mode, and I got a loud buzz/hum even at 00 volume and radio reception!

you can try getting a better antenna other than that check the connection on the back of the radio for the antenna, the new radios do not have an adjustable antenna trim like the old ones used to.
do you hear a click when you turn the ignition key, if not then its could be the switch on the ignition or the ignition relay either one could of worn out.
you don`t say if this is a 4x4 truck.if it is it could be the Ujoints/halfshaft joints on the side thats making the noise.another thing to have checked is the upper and lower control arm bushings for being worn out causing the noise.just suggestions.
Before I even read all your question, I thought brake issues,
& still do
I see these questions every day ,just on this site alone,
& get a sick feeling thinking about the millions of people
every day paying repair shops & dealers & leaving there
only to have to go to a web site for help
In 47 years I have never had one issue & very few when I
had my own shop years ago.
There are a few other things that could be ticking/clicking etc
but if it was there before the brake work, why wasn't that
taken care of first
The first rule, is have a shop prove they can find & resolve a
customers problem. Then give them the easy work & stay
loyal to that shop for decades, if they keep preforming as you
expect.
How loud the noise is,wether it does it backing up,you have
drive axles on 4 wheel drive, wheel hub brgs, not easy to find
those noises & honestly I doubt many shops even care to
I used to stay after hours, to just work those type of problems
No real key to it,just have to have to patience & desire to meet
the challange
You didnt put the noise supressor back to it's grounded loacation that it came from. You took it off and didn't even realize it. Back track your steps and you will find it. It's a single black wire with a little square box on it.
BAD GROUND. CHECK GROUND CONNECTION IN THE KICK SIDE OF THE DRIVER PLACE, UNDER CARPET YOU WILL FIND A NUT ATTACHING SEVERAL CABLES TO CHASIS, CLEAN AND RE ADJUST
