Right speaker died due to a wiring flaw

I would advice you to stay away from SteelSeries 7H Headset. I have had to replace them 2 times with about 1-2 month apart because of the right speaker stopped working. It's a wiring issue and it's very common. The support told me they had fixed the issue but that was a plain lie. I'm on the 3rd headset now and have gotten the same issue again. And to put more salt in the wound I had to pay for the shipment of the headset to their factory both times ! No, they will not repay me the money, i did ask about it. The headset have good sound but the wiring problem and steelseries really bad and really cheap support isn't worth buying the headset at all.

I just dealt with one of these last month, its a ten minute fix if you have a soldering iron. The wire gets strained inside, they didn't allow enough slack in the wire for the movement of the earpieces. A quick resolder of the broken connection and a dab of hot glue to keep it from moving was all it took. Cost of repair was zero.

SOURCE: is the steelseries 7h usb

Hello Sixlittledev,

Although the 7H USB headset is not natively supported by PS3, you may be able to get it to work if you have a headphone jack in your TV.

You will need to connect the headset in the following manner:
Headset microphone cable -> USB card -> PS3
Headset audio cable -> 3.5mm extension cable -> TV headphone jack

Although we do not guarantee compatibility and this method is a bit cumbersome, you can get it to work this way.

Headphones

Hi

Try them in another device to eliminate a faulty jack, if they still dont work the head phone may be faulty, return to seller and ask for a refund or replacement.

But also try a different head set in the jack to see if the jacks working properly.

Replace battery in a sennheiser officerunner headset

Here are the instructions for removing the battery and replacing it from your friends at Headsets.com!

1) Remove the headband or earloop.

2) Pry the battery door away from the shiny, black plastic strip on the tip of the headset using your fingernail.

3) Carefully flip back the speaker cover to expose the battery.

4) Gently remove the battery connector from the headset by pinching all three wires (red, black, and white) between
two fingers and pulling outward away from the headset.

5) Connect the new battery to the headset and gently close the battery door.

6) Place the headset into the charging base with the microphone tip pointing UP.

The right headphone doesnt work.. the headphones are almost new S:

1. check to make sure everything is plugged in correctly.

2. run a check to make sure that whatever it is you were playing was not simply being routed only to the left ear.

3. check to make sure the cable has not been pulled to much and the wires have been detached from the right ear piece. (this could be tricky as it may require some deconstruction, please be careful)

4. check to make sure the membrane on the right ear has not been broken.

No sound in rear speakers

I figured this one out, although I might still send it back for an exchange. It turned out that the right rear speaker works just fine, however the jack seems to be flawed. When fully plugged in, the rear speaker input only picks up the left channel. If you pull it out just a little, say 1/8-1/4 the way out it will pick up both channels. Not a good solution but it works for the time being.
