I have the same problem and can't get the lights to automatically turn off and on by the time cycle I set. I have to manually turn them on/off which is useless. Did you get an answer?

Is it possible to utilize the different outlets at different times?

Usually a wall timer is single channel ... even if it has two outlets... so there is only one program that controls the timing.
If you want two separate circuits, then you need a 2-channel timer... they used to offer some 2-channel models but I cannot find them any more.

Alternative would be two timers.
Or two bar timers will fit on same outlet (except bar timers are usually 24 hour and not 7-day)

Do i need to add ground wires for a Lampholder kit?

The ground should be a green insulated wire from one of the screws on the fixture then attached to the bare ground wire with a wire nut.

Why would two adjacent circuit breakers in a panel trip for no apparent reason? We reset them and everything seems normal.

My first thought is that even though it's only feeding that single outlet in the room; many times the neutral wires are made together in a panel (neutral/ground bar),which tries to carry the load of the initial tripped gfci. and tripping itself. Was there a decent amount of power plugged in to either the 'dedicated' outlet or the series of outlets that go to the 2nd breaker?

Need instructions to set time for 8 outlet power Strip timer Utilitech

Copy following link to identify power strip timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#striptimer

Zilla, Utilitec, GE strip timers use basically the same format for programming.
For each ON time, there has to be a corresponding OFF time, and days for On and Off times cannot conflict.
Best guess: you have a conflict or incomplete on-off program.

With Zilla timer, there is added level of complexity since the ON-OFFs are set for different day and night outlets.

Add a comment with the exact timer model number so expert can read the manual alongside you.

Do both outlets work on the same time setting?

Might be a 2-channel timer with separate programming (some older timers offered this but most modern ones do not), might be a timer with 1 timed outlet and other works as ordinary outlet, might be 1 outlet is defective...
The bar timer is great for 2 programs per 24 hour day, buy 2 and have two timers that fit over-under on same outlet.
