YOU CAN USE ANY AC ADAPTER THATS 3VOLTS 1500mAh OR 1.5A WHICH MEANS THE SAME THING IF YOU GO TO YOUR LOCAL ELECTRONIS STORE AND TELL THEM THIS THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DIRECT YOU TO THE RIGHT ONE

This indicates a failure during Power-on Self test that there is a fault with the DACS or secondary VDAC/IDAC readback.

If a simple on/off cycle of your power supply doesn't resolve the problem, your supply will require servicing.

Hi,

If the desktop charger is the version that can accommodate two radios simultaneously similar to the T5000, then the AC wall adapter or the power supply is 9 volts AC.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Hi, I have hp pavilion dv2500 laptop. I have display problem.pls help how to rectify it. If i connect exteranl CRT monitor Display is coming . Pls tell me how to disassemble the laptop.

You might have either a faulty LCD cable or screen inverter board.
The LCD cable transfers data signal from the motherboard & video card to the LCD screen. It also supplies high voltage DC power to the screen inverter board. The screen inverter board works as a power supply for the backlight lamp mounted inside the LCD screen. It converts low voltage DC power to high voltage AC power needed for the backlight lamp.

In this service manual, you will find an illustration of how to disassemble the laptop & replace either the LCD cable or screen inverter board:

The DC Jack Will Need To Be Visibly Inspected, and Tested ..
Most Likely Need To Replace The DC Jack (the port where your AC Adapter Plug Plugs into.....

Though, if you experienced a power surge/dip or similar, You could have shorted out the motherboard....

HP Deskjet 9800 will not power up. Tried replacing power cord and tried plugging into a different power outlet. The little green light on the back of the power supply unit comes on, but the printer will...

Is there power coming out from the supply end
Is is a DC or and AC output supply?
If is it an AC output supply tyhebm in the back of the HP had an AC to DC converted that is realy a diode bridge and should contain a fuse in the circuit somewhere on that board

No power

You need to verify that the power supply is stilll working. Get a volt meter and set to DC Volts and verfiy plug end. See power supply to know what voltage it should be.

Comapq and HP laptops like yours also has problems witht he pluf in the rear of the laptop to seperate from the motherboard and will not allow any DC voltage in. It can be replaced but you will need to buy a new femail power plug and take your unit apart.

TAKE 9VOLT BATTARY TO SEE WITCH WAY THE AIR BLOWS, UNLESS BY LOOKING AT THE POWER SUPPLY HOUSING AND UNDERSTANDY WHAT THE ARROWS ON THE CACE SHOWS DIRECTION,

HP II/III series most likely cause is the ac power module is defective. Order the HP II/III Service 50 Error Repair Kit. If the quartz fuser lamp is burned out, order the replacement fuser on specials page. Slight possibility of loose connector on DC controller. See tweaking page DC controller could also be defective, but this is very rare.
HP IIP/IIP+/IIIP most likely cause is burned out quartz lamp. Order the HP IIP/IIIP 50 Service Error Repair Kit. Could also be a failure of the power supply.
HP 4/4+/5 most likely cause is burned out quartz lamp. Order the HP 4 Service 50 Error Repair Kit. Could also be a failure of the power supply.
HP 4L/4P/5L/5P/6L/6P most likely cause is a bad ceramic heating element.
All other printers most likely cause is burned out quartz lamp. In rare instances the ac power supply has failed. Even rarer, the DC controller is defective
