I have a sharp carousel microwave, and the turntable has stopped, I just need an idea of where to start. I would assume it would be the motor, If I had a diagram i could work it out but I cant find diagrams for my model anywhere.

Without more tests, I can't be completely positive but the turntable motor is the likely problem. That is part 1-4 on the list above. However, it could be a wiring problem with the wiring to the turntable motor.
Looks like you have the purchase the glass tray in order to get the coupler. I would give Reliable Parts a call though phone # is 1-800-666-0313. Give them your model number and the name of the part you need.
The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.
You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.
If
yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate
or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or
plastic coupler.
To
replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover
of the oven. In some brands, you have to cut the motor cover off with snips, then use a
screw when reassembling it.
The best place to order Sharp parts is Tritronics. You can also call them at 866-779-5835

Check that the plastic connector from your motor to the turn table is not broken , mine broke and it took weeks to solve the problem. Try rotating the part that protrude into the oven. If you can turn it by hand it is broken, lucky cheap to replace
