I would like to find out the picture settings for philips 26pf4310/10 tv. I am not impressed with the factory settings and would like to know if you have any idea for the brightness/colour/contrast/ sharpness/colour temp. i would be gratefull if you could get back to me. Thankyou.

Chances are your main board is defective and needs replacing

Take of the back and there is buttons inside, try turning them.

I don't think it has a factory reset but Philips would know if they or a authorized service center will talk to you----both are generally not very helpful.

There is no details about the factory reset of your tV in its user manual. But intvidual reset for picture, sound etc can be selected and can be reset to factory reset.

You haven't mentioned the model no. of your TV. Nonetheless, the reset procedure for the model nos. 42PFL7409/98 / 42PFL7409S/98 goes like this:

1- Press Home,
2- Select [Setup] > [Installation] > [Factory
settings],
3- Press play to enter the [Factory settings]
menu
[Reset] is highlighted,
4- Press OK to reset to default settings.
5- Press Home to exit.
The reset procedure may differ for other model nos.

Furthermore, Press the "Menu" button to access the menu, and select "TV Settings" and then "Picture" to bring up the picture settings. Adjust the color, brightness, sharpness and other settings if the picture seems off. Select "Dynamic Contrast" to have the contrast adjust to screen changes and "Digital Noise Reduction" to cut down on outside interference and reduce noise in the signal. On the "Installation" menu, select "Reset AV Settings" to have the settings reset to their factory defaults.

Tries tv unplug,replug it back about an hour later,by letting the tv resetting itself back to the factory setting.Now,tv is on goto tv memu to PICTURE go down reset to reset the entire tv Tuner signal board.Then goto SOUND Setting,go down to resetting.This process are resetting everythings.The tv sould have sound now.

Suddenly, the sound for LCD 42PFL3605/12 dissapeared. Resetted to factory settings, upgraded firmware, but no result. The TV ran just 24 hours. Please, help!

Recently, cable has gone digital. You might not be able to get a signal anymore with rabbit ears. They suggest buying a converter box. You can always try restoring factory settings...
