Look in the owner's manual for instructions on having the TV scan channels. Make sure the converter is on before starting the scan. If that doesn't work, you'll have to buy or borrow a universal remote to take care of it (enter 3, 03 or 003 on the remote control). This will happen every time you remove power to the set, whether it is unplugged or you have a power failure, so start saving up for a new remote control.
There would be a RED,YELLOW,WHITE input cables that you would hook up to the back, there should be a Video mode on you remote turn it to one of the input channels and you should be fine.. Thanks and please rate.
you should be able to go into your menu options. under channel set up. there should be an add or remove channel option and if your set has a locking feature it should be right in there that you'll find the unlock feature, Other than that, if you dont find it really the only other locking feature would be in your menu, under the parental control setting, this is another way to block and unblock channels as well, good luck. feel free to ask me any other questions you have!
if you dont already have the remote set up then find the codes and t it up. the remote should have a button that says either tv/video or input. depending on the tv it should take you to a few channels through this button. look for either input 1 or 2, or even GAME. these should be the channels it will play on.
Do you have the original remote? it will look like the one here:http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=gmi&smodel=B27TF680&brand_pn=RCA_B27TF680&mode=large&uid=11758883061400 If you do not have the original remote you will not be able to switch off the SAP setting, without it as there is a button that controls the sound. when this button is pressed you see where to turn off the SAP setting. Good Luck
You got the right idea, use the ext.imput on you tv and use the vcr to change the channels, you can check the solder conections in the tuner ,ussually the ground gets loose after a while but if you are not too familiar with tv service and dont want put any money in this set use your vcr.If the quality of the picture is still good then is worth keeping it.Let Us know if you need more information.
