I have an antivirus installed on my loptop but it still says in the hp adviser that my antivirus is at RISK
Exactly, when don't update it regularly your installed antivirus would be at risk. The only solution to solve this is to update it. Though after updation still you are not satisfied switch your antivirus... I have comodo https://antivirus.comodo.com/antivirus-for-windows-8.

The main cause of any antivirus being at risk is when it has not been updated either for virus definitions or for program updates.
Check that your antivirus is up to date and that there are no updates for the main program itself.
