My HP Laser jet P1006 will not print. when I click printer and faxes on my computer it is showing me that I have a paper jam. I have checked the printer and this is not the case. The computer has allowed...

1) open printers and faxes.... right click on the printer icon... click on pause printing... and then click on cancel documents.... when that is cleared... right click and delet the printer icon while u have the usb cable unplugged... once that is gone... plug in the usb cable... wait for few seconds and then try to print....

2) if u are not able to delete the printer icon by following the above step... click on start and then run... type in services.msc and hit ok.... in the services window stop the service called print spooler and then start it again.... and then follow the step 1... it should get deleted

3) even after completing the step 1 and when u try printing... if u r getting paper jam error message then thoroughly look for any jammed paper... even a small piece of paper will cause this problem... so check out thoroughly... and if u dont find any... reset the printer by following the below link

Printer HP Laser jet P1006 download

HP LaserJet P1006 is still supported. It can run In Windows 98 though Windows 10. In my answer, I would recommend downloading the Basic Driver. The basic driver allows you to print, manage and doesn't allow anything else to install with it.
