Pd150 audio dropouts

What a smashing camera, you luck S - D I would love a camera like that, take good care of it okay? anyway the green problem is that the last person to use it has left a Built-In filter turned on in EA menu, once it is switched off you will be okay, have great fun I know you will with that.

This case sounds like really dirty picture and sound heads in camera and tape kept sticking so exposure was on each part of tape too long.
Keep camera heads shiny and clean by buying camera tape cleaner.

I have fixed several PD150 and PD170 with the same problem. All of them had bad CCD.

I'm not sure what the solution is, but I am having the same probelms, and I would appreciate any help with this since I am shooting a childrens camp and I am fairly isolated and don't have the time to swop cameras or send it to get fixed. I need to know if the recording is fine (video and audio) but the playback is not working correctly...or is it not recording correctly or playing back correctly. The sound cuts out from time to time in playback. Thank you.

Hi,
The problem is of drum assembly which normally called Head of the camera, it needs replacement. When horizontal or vertical lines appears it means the drum start malfunctioning and it needs replacement. For this please see the link click here.

clean the head with the head-cleaning cassettes

flex wire connecting LCD with camcorder might be a problem it's very common.I did in mine .

this problem is related to the head drum of the camcorder as the head drum gets dirty ,this problem does occurs but using cleaning tape wouldnt help much, asu need to clean the drum assy manually.

  Dear carooooo, You are dealing with tape not film. Your problem might be in your tape.   Try running your tape on record the full length. Keep your lens cap on. Color balance and use new tape that's for your Sony.         jameskeyboar.
