When I was playing basketball I had my mp3 player in my pocket and when the ball bounced up it hit the pocket the mp3 player was in and although it didnt hit it very hard it shut off. I didnt think much of it at first because this has happened a few times before but, when I turned it on again something was really screwed up.The On/Pause button doesn't work and every button pauses the mp3 player so I cant turn the volume up or down I cant go forward or backward to a different song and the only way I turn it off is by taking out the battery because the off button doesnt work. I cant turn it on with the On/pause button but it automaticly turns on when I put in the battery. I can still listen to music but this is really annoying. Help asap please.

Not really enough info but to turn it on, hold down the pause/play button until you see a screen coming on. After the main screen loads, whatever is selected from the menu (music, video, ebook...) will play when you hit the M button.
To scroll up and down the main menu, use the right and left arrow buttons.
Could have have possibly turned off the backlight? That could be a solution. Dimming the backlight more and more without paying attention or even turning the backlight off completely it was bouncing around in your pocket. Or if you mean that the screen is completely black and absolutly nothing can be see on it, try to see if you can reset it to factory defaults to see if that will fix the problem.
try updating your mp3s firmware here is the firmware updater tool for your mp3 player
http://www.sandisk.com/driverdownload/download.asp?driverId=7 if this doesn't work i would ether use the mp3 player you have you buy a new one
The licenses could have expired on the songs, or you have a corrupt database - format the player or get a firmware upgrade to resolve a DB error. Double-check the licenses on the songs to make sure they have not expired.
