Somehow our main Executone Medley phone is in night mode. We do not know how it got put into night answer mode, nor how to get it out. This happened on our main "reception" phone and on one of the extensions. Any ideas on how to get it out of night mode -- this keeps our phone from ringing, so all calls automatically go to voice mail!
One of our offices uses the Meley system. When the director changed the system time her phone displayed NGT on the upper right hand corner and calls would ring but she couldn't answer them. Go to EXT 100 and program a key with a code 560. you will do that by pressing the menu or F1 key and then fallow the steps for programming a key. once you have programmed the key press it once and the display will start changing from night to day to holiday, pick the day and you are done. Better yet, go to the phone that has on the display word NGT/night, or DAY, HLDAY and press the each key until the display changes that word on the display. one of the keys is programmed with key code 560. the phones that do not show Day, Night and Holiday will not have the key.

That is generally how Night mode works - alerting you to a call then directing the caller to voicmail night message. You want to change the Forward No Answer setting in that mode; if your system doesn't support that, set FNA in regular (non-Night) for the attendant phone.
from any phone dial 436 and then press #, then enter managers mailbox usually 5000 and the password, by default it is 5000.
then 3, 8 and 1# for CCR 1,(or 2# for CCr2 and so on) and follow the prompts

The simple answer is you can force the PBX into night mode by dialing 782 on the main phone. However, it does requre programming, so if you don't have night ringing and voice mail defined, then it still won't work. 781 goes back to day mode.
I assume you mean change the time and date and that depends on which system model you have....assuming you have an "IDS"...go to the receptionists phone ( the phone you reach by dialing 0 or 3001/ 301 ) and without lifting the handset dial 28 followed by the time in military format...if it worked you'll hear a few quick beeps after inputting the time. You might have an Executone Medley...if so > http://www.mainresource.com/PDFs/TipsMedleySysAdmin.pdf
If you have an older version of IDS you need to program it via a programming terminal or laptop. Leave your email here if you get this and I'll email you - can do it remotely via built in modem.
For both of you, the answer isn't easy....unless it's already set up in the sytsem and you just have to dial the magic number :-)
Depending on how it was installed, the Pana TD system has either automatic or manual switching to DAY/NIGHT mode. If your NIGHT program is set up to send calls to voice mail, you can just put the system in nights by dialing 781 on the intercom, and I think in a TD you can do that from any phone. 780 returns it to days. IIRC the * button on a idle display phone will tell you what mode the system is in, as well as when you dial the 78x codes, it will beep once if it changes or twice if it was already in that mode.
If none of this works, or you already have Auto D/N switching set up and it doesn't or never worked, it's going to require some system programming. Your friendly Pana installer will be happy to do that for you.
you will need to have access to the phone system programming. you can do this through a laptop or through Operators programming if you have one there. Once you are connected you will access A screen, then the EXT you need to program and then K for Keys. there is where you set up all of the programming on each key. if you need more info, somehow contact me and I can help over the phone. Every system has a remote access through a modem that is built in on EVCM.card.
what system is this? does the Program error apear when you press a button? if it does, then the keys need to be reprogrammed. let me know and I will help you with the rest.
