Epson Stylus Multifunction Inkjet Printer/ Copier/ Scanner Logo
Anonymous Posted on Jan 03, 2012

I have just change my Epson Stylus TX 101 black ink cartridge and status says the ink is low.

The status run properly at first, said the black in cartridges is full, and the other cartridges are still more than half full. But after I did couple times nozzle check and print-head cleaning, all cartridges status are low on ink, including the new black one I've just changed. I haven't even use it to print!! Help, what's wrong and what should I do? I've bought the ink still in it's original packaging, tightly sealed and in a reputable book store...

SOURCE: Hi My Epson Stylus R200 print is nearly

Ensure the nozzle check has 6 colours if it doesn't you will need to try head cleaning. you may also need to align the print head. All this can be found in the same place as the option for nozzle check.

If that is ok try a different paper type, ensure you are using relativly fresh ink.

The black ink will npt come through

Hi,

If you have just installed a new ink cartridge and an ink low or Replace ink cartridge message is still displayed, the cartridge may be incorrectly installed.

Follow these steps to make sure the cartridges are correctly installed:

  1. Press the On button to turn on the Epson Stylus, or (if already on) press the Setup button.

  2. Select Maintenance and press OK.

  3. Select Change Ink Cartridge and press OK.

  4. Open the scanner.

  5. Open the cartridge cover.

  6. Press down all the ink cartridges until they click into place to make sure they are properly seated.

  7. Close the ink cartridge cover and push it down until it clicks into place.

  8. Close the scanner.

  9. Press OK to begin charging the ink. This takes about 2 minutes.

You see a message on the display screen when ink charging is finished.

    Caution:

Never turn off the Epson Stylus while ink is charging or you'll waste ink.

If you remove an ink cartridge for later use, protect the ink supply area from dirt and dust and store it in the same environment as the Epson Stylus with the label facing upward. Note that there is a valve in the ink supply port, making covers or plugs unnecessary, but care is needed to prevent the ink from staining items that the cartridge touches. Do not touch the ink cartridge ink supply port or surrounding area, and do not store the cartridge upside down.

If you remove a low or expended ink cartridge, you cannot reinstall and use the cartridge.

Thank you for contacting FixYa

I don't know how to change the ink cartridge of epson tx 110

http://files.support.epson.com/htmldocs/nx110_/nx110_ug/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm
Replace Ink Cartridges
Your Epson Stylus NX110 Series and its software will let you know when an ink cartridge is low or expended.
If ink is low, the ink light flashes. You can continue printing until a cartridge needs replacement.
If a cartridge is expended, the ink light stays on. You must replace the cartridge to be able to print.
SEE IMAGE BELOW
Warning:
Keep ink cartridges out of the reach of children and do not drink the ink.
Note:
If you need to change a cartridge before it or any other cartridges are low or expended, run the Ink Cartridge Replacement utility.

You cannot print or copy when an ink cartridge is expended even if the other cartridges are not expended. Replace any expended cartridges before printing or copying.

Leave your old cartridges in the Epson Stylus NX110 Series until you are ready to
replace them to prevent the print head nozzles from drying out.
When an installed ink cartridge is more than six months old, you may need to replace it if your printouts do not look their best, even after cleaning and aligning the print head.
Follow the instructions in these sections to check and replace your ink cartridges:

Epson stylus photo R200 status monitor in Windows 7 is'nt highlighted ink is low can't tell which ones

Uninstall the current driver and Status Monitor, once uninstalled connect and power the printer on to install the Windows 7 In box driver. If that does not work then you can tell which cartridges need replacing using the printer itself. Lift the lid and press the red ink button once. The carriage will move to the left and stop by a pointer. This will point to the cartridge that needs replacing. Repeat until it is in the change and then change the indicated cartridge/s and then press again to complete the change.

I have just changed all the ink's in an Epson d120

If you replaced with "genuine" ink-cartridges, then it should report "full".

If you replaced with "refilled" ink-cartridges, then the company that refilled forgot to "reset" the electronics inside the ink-cartridge, in order to report "full".

Or, perhaps, the software "toolbox" that came with the printer has a button "I have installed new cartridges, please re-verify the ink-levels" ??? Click that button.

820 ink problem

Hi Evestal,

I've noticed the same thing on my Epson Stylus Photo 820 ink status monitor. If it's set to use only black ink, then logically it shouldn't actually be using any color ink other than when it does a cleaning cycle. Truth is... the built in monitor counts at the same rate for color and black regardless of the true levels. So, unfortunate consumers are likely to restock prematurely on expensive cartridges if they aren't aware that monitor is counting prints, and not actually measuring ink.

I've bought refill kits made by JetTec at Staples and they make a Re-Setting Device for cartridges. Lately my local Staples have stopped carrying this brand but I'm know they're available online. The re-setter is a little plastic device with and LED light that changes color after you match up it's little metal prongs with the microchip on your cartridge to indicate that it has been re-set. Just follow the directions that come with the re-set device. This is also a good way to get the last remaining bits of ink out of cartridges when they're low. The Epson print counter stops you from printing once it "thinks" it's out of ink but the reset device convinces it otherwise untill you really do run out.

Hope this helps. Good Luck.
