Getting cam sound mute

Open your device manager and find mic inlet. It may be muted, uncheck mute or increase the slider level.

As far as I know, it has a sensitive volume control, so sometimes the user touch that area by accident.

I've heard this is a Youtube issue. If my download speed was fast enough to set the volume a week ago it should be fast enough today. I think everyone who recently upgraded software is having this same issue. YT needs to get on top of it because it is obnoxious.

1. Check the Audio icon on the task bar if muted. If yes Unmute Go to start > control panel > sound. and make sure that nothing is muted.

4. If steps 1-3 don't work, then take your speaker to your friend's computer and see if it works there? if yes then something is wrong in your computer system, if no, then something is wrong in those devices.

No, just go through your skype setting testing you microphone, if there's not one built into your laptop (Check user guide) then you need an external one.

You may also need to check the sound configuration on your laptop, make sure that the Microphone is turned on.

Assuming that you are using one, take the batteries out of the remote, then turn the sound up with the switches on the monitor. Tactile switches somethings get stuck. The mute switch could be one of them. If it is the one on the screen, check the "feel" of the mute button compared to the others. Damaged ones usually feel "flat".

Are you sure you havn't accidently turned sound off .
In drive options ensure speaker icon does not say Un-mute if it does touch to change to mute.

Screenshot or more details needed. This sounds like camera is faulty, but i dont want to believe it. Are we talking about web cam or like photo camera? If web cam, then just get new one from ebay, no point to have headache when they are so cheap on ebay. But if we are talking about photo camera then make sure you have right drivers installed, all usb settings are correct on cam. I mean, some devices are charging via usb and wont let you take photos unless you change usb setting to media transfer mode. Check those. But if photocam does a photoshot but image is blank then you might have a faulty photo cam

I have this exact Easy Cam and it does not have a microphone on it, so you may need to buy a microphone.

Plz check in system tray if Master sound level is set to minimum or muted
