Archos av700 battery fully charged,but will not switch on using the on button but will work with the remote control but only once,but when connected to the charging adaptor the av700 comes on but when i switch it off will not come on again using the button,but will switch on and off using the remote control while connected to the mains charger,once running no problem thank you r.c
I have exactly the same issue. Basically the on button does not work. Only way I can switch the AV700 on is to connect to the mains. It powers itself up then. Then I can instead of using the on button to play etc I can use the remote. However this somewhat contradicts the AV700 being a portable device. Sometimes if I sit there for several minutes with my finger on the on button it will eventially power up but most of the time it refuses to work.I have exactly the same issue. I can not charge av700 ,then I buy new battery from ebay USA after I get it I change new battery and plug in it working very good then I left it plug in 6 hours ,after I put off plug and try to turn on av700 but cannot turn on then I plug in again now cannot charge happen nothing,So what can I do now.([email protected])
connect it to computer and try to recover it using this software: http://www.recuva.com/ remember selecting right device.. it may take hours to search the drive for deleted files.. if this does not work mail me on [email protected] and i start talking about some more advanced recovering softwares and such ..
is your usb lead broke, or maybe your computer is not picking it up, try opening my computer and see if you can find the hard drive, then just open it up and you will find the folders, let me know if this is any help
Seems you have burned out your charging circuit.This is common on these units & you need to do one of two things,Either send it back to Archos & they will fix FOC if under warranty or buy a external charger which are a bit difficult to get hold of @ the minute.Can get them from Hong Kong - ebay.
I had problems with my docking station and I had to buy a complete set of accessories to replace it so I have a brand new remote control (without batteries) if you want it
Managed to resolve my dark screen issue. It is a little weird and not sure which combination actually got it going but it works. I firstly connected the TV POD unit to the AV700 and used the remote and no joy. With the TV POD unit still connected, I fiddled with the battery latch switch a few times and VOILA! - the screen came back to life and all is now good. I hope it is as easy as that for all of you....
