Coby tv will not come on

Check the cables, connectors and connections.

Are you trying to get sound from over the air channels or is it coming from a cable box or some other media device or input?

Change the settings for the power save options in the TV and see if it has some timer for no signal.

Alternatively in the PC you can select a screen saver that has a moving image which means PC will always give a video signal even if it is not used.

Died and went to monitor heaven. U can always check out the power supply. But other than that you may need to go shopping.

Ur backlight IC inverter board is dead.Tries disconnectors & reconnectors the connections to the board see if it work?

try to borrow a monitor and have it installed on your PC, then set the display settings to 1024 x 768 pixels then apply it, remove the monitor and put back your viewsonic flat screen.

check the small fuse on the underside of the board that is the high voltage drive for the CCFLs

I have the same problem except it usually happens after Ive left my computer idle for a while... i.e . Overnight, I usually turn off the monitor and I hit the button after I come back to turn it on. I get the same flashing light for several minutes. This has been a problem for several months, but only recenly have i gotten the same error message you mentioned. Each time ive booted the computer up cold or restarted it has worked fine but this time it took longer along with displaying the message: Top Left to Right: SH770 P001 Bottom Left to Right: AU M170EN05 Anyone else who can clear this up?
