For the 3100cn, once the web password has been set, you need to do a deep NVRAM reset to clear it.
Before doing anything, print a Printer Settings page so you know what your printer settings are, espcially page count. I might advise dating and saving this for possible future reference
Here's how to deep reset NVram for the 3000/3010/3100cn printers:
1. Pwr Off
2. Hold the Left + Right + Menu buttons while you Pwr-on (release them when display = DIAGNOSING...)
3. At the PASSWORD prompt, press UP, UP, [enter] (enter=center button)
4. Down button to INSTALLATION SET; [enter]
5. Down button to NVM Init; [enter]
6. OK?, [enter]
7. After completion message, Pwr off, wait 5 secs, then pwr on
After pwr on, the LCD displays "Init NVram" & "Initializing", then completes POST with "Diagnosing".
After printer completes POST, the toner level indicators on the LCD may show empty. The printer will need to be Pwr'd Off/On once again to correct display.
The procedure for the 3110cn is nearly identical. Let me know if you have problems figuring it out.

2. Open the front cover.
3. While the Continue and Cancel buttons are depressed, turn the printer on.
4. When the error LED on the control panel is lit solid, close the cover.

Assuming your printer DOES HAVE a duplexer fitted, you need to use the option in the printer driver to 'get information from printer' - this will update the available options as far as the driver is concerned.

Try and reset the power to the printer and re-install check the toner cartridge. If this doesn't help then please try and reset the printer to default factory settings. Y?? ??n reset ???r Dell printer by using 'Reset Dell Printer' icon. Y?? ??n g?t t? th?? icon in folder 'UAN'--> 'Logic Utilities' -->Reset Dell Printer. Hope this helps... Dell 3110 laserjet printer, belt unit close to life

This message is displayed when the pagecount of the transfer belt is 80,000 (ish)+.

The rated life of the transfer belt in the Dell 3110/3115 is 100,000 pages.


After that pagecount the transfer belt 'expires' and no further printing is possible until the transfer belt is replaced.

Dell 942 carrier jam loud banging

you going to have to replace the carriage ASSY. That sound means the carriage is offline and it needs repair or you got something blocking or jammed in the printer so good that its doing this.

Diag : bad carriage or severe carriage jam
prog: Repair/clear jame if any or new printer

After replacing the toner some times the printer goto be reset so it can see it nes some printer have to go to the menu some where and reset the toner count

Error 1203 Dell 962
There can only try and I hope it will do the job for you.

Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on
press copy

To reset factory defaults on the printer, perform the following steps:
  1. Press the Mode button several times until the Copy LED is lit.
  2. Press the Menu button until Set Defaults is displayed, then press the Select button.

Enter the time, date and language, the press the Select button.
