Belkin n1 router - wireless light not on - laptop has limited connectivity

Set up router at first the wireless light was on and the lap top connect (first 30 mins or so of use.) now the wireliss light is not on at all ( not orange - just no light) the wired computer works fine, the lap top conncets to the network with limited connectivity.
I have tried resting - the router, the modem, the laptop. made sure no wirels phones or mircowave were on or near the router and modem ( wireless broadband - clearwire). still no wireless light. I took the laptop to another house and was able to connect to their wireless system without any difficulty. I hate to assume that a bran new router is defective, is there anything else I can try.

I rest set the router following your instructions (when I had reset it before I did not have the power on) and reconfigured it, and now it is working. Thanks

If could be that you were unable to reset the router properly. You have to make sure that the router is on while pressing and holding the reset button using a paper clip. the reset button is usually found at the back of the router, then you may have to reconfigure the settings again.

you can also manually access the router page for you to change the settings.

REPLACED F5D7050 WITH F6D4050, NOW LIMITED CONNECTIVITY

You need to make sure the new belkin adaptor has the same settings as the router you are using. If you set a password on your router then you need to set a password the same on your new adaptor.

Ps3 game

Hi there,

you will need to enable internet connection sharing. Some laptops have the ability to create a network.

The easiest way to do this is to create a wireless network, and have your ps3 join that network and essentially use the internet through your laptop.

Hope this helps,

Nathan.

Belkin router is working with desk top computer. add laptop

It's asking for the security word that you entered into the router when you set up wireless security. You will need to enter both the wireless SSID, and the security key to make the system work.

Connection problem

The first thing to check is that both of your computers are assigned to the same workgroup name. Right click 'my computer' and select properties. Change the workgroup name so that they are identical on both machines. You will need to reboot if you change the name one one or both of the machines.

Belkin n1 wireless usb adapter

Dear Friend,

1. Connect your ISP modem to your PC and configure as Bridge mode.

2. Remove your ISP modem and connect your wireless router to your PC and configure as PPPOE mode. (refer http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/reviews/article.php/3645166 if any doubt on configuration)

3. Now connect your ISP modem to wireless router, The modem should connect to your WAN cable.

4. And Give the wireless router's IP in your laptop as Gateway (In TCPIP settings of your Laptop wireless adapter / or configure DHCP)

5. Now you can access internet on both systems.

Connecting second laptop to my Belkin Wireless G router

I don't know the model of your router this would be very helpful. Most routers have a reset button on the back of the router. This will reset your router back to factory default settings. This will reset the pasword to default usually "admin". You will need to set up your router all over again. Let me know the model and I can send you a link for installation of your router.
