If your code is C 0206 it refers to a problem with the black imaging unit, if opening and shutting the door containing the toners does not cure the problem I would look at replacing the imaging unit.
Hope this helps!
this is a serious problem .. this means that the serial # on the boards for your machine dont match.
you can try this but it may not work.
turn the machine on holding the left and right print position arrows.
press the yellow clear button 1 time to bring the display to all 0000
then enter the following codes eactly as i say or you can do irreversible damage to your machine.
enter 9874 and press start.
you will then see a number on the screen i usally see 51
press the yellow clear button to clear that number and bring the display to 0000 again (if yellow clear does nnot work try the orange stop button or the c button on the bottem of the keypad.)
when it says 0000 again enter 1198.
when the machine beeps and shows you the 1198 again turn it off by the power switch and turn it back on normally.
if this does not work you will need a technican to come in and fix this problem
This is a Corona cleaning unit error. You either need to get the issue with the corona cleaning unit fixed or have a service technician turn off the automatic cleaning function. SP Mode 2 801 3 (technican will know what this code means) I can not tell you how to do this as you can total mess up the machine if the service mode is not used properly. Turning off the cleaning will solve the error code. Technician can clean the coronas himself on service calls so automatic cleaning is not required.
To reset a fuser abnormality code, perform the following: 1. Power the copier OFF. 2. Access the 25 mode (power the copier ON, while holding down on the 2 and 5 keys). 3. Touch [1: Software SW setting] on the touchscreen. 4. Touch the left up-arrow, which is displayed on the touchscreen, 2 times. The number displayed above the up-arrow will change to 03. 5. Select the bit number of the switch 1, using the right up-arrow. 6. Touch the [OFF (0)] key, which is displayed on the touchscreen. 7. Power the machine OFF/ON to exit the 25 mode. good luck
press buttons in the exact order, utility-meter count-stop-0-0-stop-0-1. you are in service mode. now you enter counter - reset counters, or trouble and see the meaning of C 0206, if I well remember it's a corona wire problem! you can either change the wire and reset the error code or, in case that it wont work, to measure the tension at wich the corona charges!, probably the first thing will do the job!!!
