SOURCE: Printer Door

Hi,

I have that exact problem at work. There is a bump on the right side of the lid...and when you close the lid it presses on a lever. Check and see that the bump actually pushes that lever downwards. That's how the printer determines that it's closed.

SOURCE: printer says door open

aah simple solution to that modiboni. you need to check if the printer door is still open but youv already tried that im sureoption 2 im not to sure on your printer but when you open the door chek to see o protruding plastic that will activate a switch to say the door is closed if you see that the plastic is broken use a small item to push down the sensor and it hopefully should read that the printer door is closed.

SOURCE: Error message: "Door Open"

HI there,
Follow the steps below:
Step one: Close the print cartridge access door
1.Verify that the print cartridge access door is completely closed. It may appear to be closed, but if it is not completely closed, the error message will display. Verify that there are no obstructions blocking the door.
2.If you are unsure how to close the print cartridge access door on your model, consult your User Guide for more information.
Figure 1: Examples of closing the print cartridge access door (your model may vary)
f3e57be.gif If you have attempted to completely close the access door and the error still appears, there may be a problem with the door sensor and the unit may require service.

Step two: Service your product
If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.

Good Luck!!!

Won't scan, error message -scanner door is open

Simple solution. I just had the same problem. Make sure the top cover on the left side is snapped in. It wasn't obvious that it was open. They should probably give a better code because it is not the scanner door that is open.

I have light in this ( !) what that is mean?

If ! light displays a solid light it means that the printer front door is open, print cartridge is missing, or a flash option has been installed that is not supported. Please Close the door, install a print cartridge, or install a supported flash option. The printer will automatically reset.

If ! light and Continue button (green button) displays a solid light, it means a printer error. The printer memory is too full to collate the print job. To continue printing press and release continue button to clear the message. To cancel press and release the X (red button).

You may also press Continue button twice quickly to see the secondary error code. For further assistance, please call Lexmark Technical Support.
