1410 does nothing when i scan

Check for copying, if its fine no problem with the printer, check system side..If copy also blank replace scan head..pl revert us for further advises

HI UNINSTALL THE SCANNER SOFTWARE AT THE CONTROL PANEL AND REINSTALL THE SOFTWARE AGAIN. THIS WILL WORK FOR YOU. HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU.

Sometimes hardware drvivers may not be totally compatable with vista try XP op sys abnd see it that holds together

Try using Mozilla firefox, which loads straight to Google. If that works use that for internet. If it does work, try uninstalling windows Internet Explorer and reinstalling it. Also make sure you download all windows updates as this will fix most issues with IE!

Check the power and the data (USB) cables in the printer...check both ends...
Check :-
# The printer powers on properly
# There also can be problems with the printer driver
# and also internal printers....
Try reinstalling the printer driver...

You have a dell machine, therefore ...
Run a diagnostics
turn off your system
press and hold Fn key ,power on the system, leave fn key
it will start running a diagnostic
it will give you an option to press any key to continue
press any key and you will get 4 options
express test
custom test
extended test and
symptom tree
choose symptom tree
you will get list of devicec
choose keyboard run test
it will highlight some keys you have to press
if everything works fine here
hardware is working fine
then you have to take the system back to day one or use Operating system cd to reinstall the operating system.

Look for a driver on dell... if that doesnt work then get a new touchpad or send it back to dell and tell them to shove it.
