First u download kaspersky antivirus and install that..then remove ur current version yahoo messenger via control panel (add or remove hardware setting) ...then download some other version or same version which ur using it now...but i recommend u to install ym8 or ym9 beta version...while installing or after installing..kaspersky anti virus will denote there may be an hidden riskware..in this condition u just allow the program to run..(don skip or decline it)..don worry it wont affect ur files...its just an indication..try it...u will surely comne out from ur problem...

on the page click the link which says manually download the software, people have had problems with the automatic installer.
After that, it will ask for your permission and start up a remote support session.

Few things I can suggest:
Uninstall all yahoo software from your computer
start -> control panel -> programs (or add or remove programs)
Then try again
Right click the setup file and select run as administrator
Download the software again, make sure its ment for your operating system.
Disable antivirus and firewall during installation, optionally you may unplug your internet

go to add and remove programs check whether any messenger is installed.
if their means remove that and then install the new one..
