SOURCE: Can't import video into Windows Movie Maker

Hi there,

Best possible option is to get a good video card that has inputs for your vhs player both sound and video,
it will come with the software needed to edit your own and to add those extra special features then write to disk also.

a good burning software is from www.nero.com
Trials available for download,

There are plenty of good softwares available for home editting but for good results do yourself a favour and get good Audio/Video card first time ,
compare with friends before buying even go look at them in use to see if your happy,

You'll be glad if you get good results from the start,

Movie maker You will need to check out the help section and compare the specs with NEROsite info,

Hope this helps,
Let me know of the outcome thanks

SOURCE: Cd/Rw playback CD player in lounge room won't play burned cd's...

Hi.

You need to burn your CDs in Audio format. That means that you cannot just burn your MP3 or WMA files, but you need to use the program which can convert those files to WAV format and write them so that ordinary CD players can reproduce them. Nero is such a program, among others.

Philips DVD+RW SDVD8820 does not recognise burned CD or DVDs

it could be upper and lower filters in registry and system files, use a removal tool called filtercheck 4.6 in CDR-zone.com (goto the forums and search for filtercheck)
after you downoad, run it, click yes to all filters found to remove. close program.

reinstall your preferred burning app (1 prog installed at a time and test burn)
this is to replace the filter entry that was corrupt

Burned DVDs play on PC but won't play on home player. I have 3 PC (2HPs and 1 Parts built),running XP home, pro, media. I bought 2 Samsung SH-S182 DVD±RW Dual Layer Burner, and have tried them on all 3...

Nero 6 and 7 does not provides us the facilitiy of burning the DVD in appropriate DVD Format. Instead it burns the DVD in the normal DATA Format, which is not supportable by our DVD Player. To play the DVD in our DVD Player we should burn the DVD in the appropriate DVD Burner which itself converts the extension of the movie and make it proper for a DVD Player to read it. It also adds some files to the DVD which is sometimes used by the dvd player in running the DVD.

Cannot copy files to DVD disks

First of all you should have the recording tab ON. Have you tried burning using Nero instead of dragging and dropping? This may solve the problem.

However, if you prefer to drag and drop, try setting the write speed to a slower setting, even if the dvd burner has faster write capabilities.

1. I do not think it is a hardware issue.

2. You can try replacing the IDE cable, but if you can read the contents of the disk it does not suggest a communication issue between the drive and mobo.

3. I do not think that the burning software is to blame, when you drag and drop you are actually using a windows based burning software that is installed with the operating system.

4. set up your files to burn through nero, let the software do the work.

I had the same issue with my dvd burner, although slightly different error messages, solved it by using nero instead.
