If your camera can't detect your memory card then the card should first be formatted with a computer and if still nothing happens, then buy a new one.

Hi,
Try inserting the SD card into the camera and see whether it'll be detected. If not,you may have no option but to use another SD card.

Thanks!

Cannot do anything with camera go to take anything it says write protected

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Help! We opened the box for our new Brookstone Slide and Negative Scanner Model # SKU634402 and the installation CD was missing. Is there online installation available or should we just return the item...

A search for that model on Brookstone's website takes me to the iConvert Instant Slide and Negative Scanner. That scanner does not require an installation CD. It works by scanning slides or negatives and then saving them to an SD card. Many digital cameras use SD cards so you may have one already. Otherwise an SD card will need to be purchased separately.

My nikkon camera is saying memory card is write protected when it is on unlock. PLEASE HELP.

Try the card in a different camera, and try a different card in your camera, to try to isolate the problem.

Locking of an SD card is by the little plastic slide which operates a switch in the camera itself. The slide must be present in the "unlock" position, to operate the switch, to allow writing to the card; therefore if the slide is missing, the camera considers the card locked.

Your digital camera has an internal termination problem. Some of the terminals either not touching the data terminals of your SD card. The contacts are like brushes that when you slide in your memory card they brush in contact with the card,if either one or two brushes misses its contact problems arises. It needs someone who works with digital cameras to correct this problem because it requires opening and disassembling descreet parts.
